Parrot announce the MINIKIT+

p1

We reviewed the last Parrot MINIKIT and it was a great hands free solution. The MINKIT+ has now been announced with some nice added features.

Parrot MINIKIT+ is a portable hands-free kit capable of simultaneously managing two Bluetooth-enabled mobile phones, due to Parrot “Dual Mode” multipoint technology.

The driver chooses one main telephone out of the two connected and the Parrot MINIKIT+ associates different ring tones to each.

Parrot MINIKIT+ automatically synchronizes its phonebook with the connected mobile phones, and can store up to 2,000 contacts.

As with all Parrot hands-free systems, Parrot MINIKIT+ is compatible with all brands of Bluetooth-enabled mobile phones and Smartphone on the market.

Note: up to 10 mobile phones can be paired to the Parrot MINIKIT+ (20,000 contacts in total).

Adobe Flash coming to iOS?

adobe-logo

The word on the street is that Adobe may have a workaround that will bring flash to our iPhones and iPads! It is all to do with Adobe Flash Media Server 4.5 and Flash Access 3.0.

In layman’s term, Flash content is processed through Flash Media Server, as opposed to the device itself, and is then delivered to the user.

The idea is not unlike that of the OnLive gaming service that also circumvents the limitations of iOS by having the information handled server-side.
As a result of the workaround, this method of streaming media does not require Apple’s stamp of approval, thus securing the world of Flash content to help distract you from real life responsibilities.

If this is true it could bring joy and happiness to millions of iOS users. Fingers crossed.

Archos 80 G9 available for pre order

061a11-d5f9_archos-80-g9bquilleThe Archos G9 has gone up for pre-order over at HMV. This is the 8″ tablet, obviously sans 3G as there is a plugin dongle to achieve this. There is nothing in the way of specs, since there are two particularly different storage options it would be nice to know which this is. Also it doesn’t list the amount of RAM that has been debated since the launch event. The price is a rather attractive £229.99.

One concern is the US pricing:

8GB 1Ghz: $299
16GB 1.5Ghz: $329
250GB 1.5Ghz: $369

It this turns out to be the 8GB at the same price point as our US buddies without conversion then Archos might not sell as many as they originally expected.

The T-Mobile parking ticket– Teaser video

parking-ticket-736643-747181

I’m not sure what this new video from T-Mobile is all about that I found on YouTube today. It is clearly a teaser and tells people to visit YouTube.com/lifesforsharing this Friday, 9.15pm on Channel 5 or , for the premiere of their new video.

By now we know that T-Mobile do some great TV adverts. I can only guess that the parking ticket being given out are some kind of winning voucher or similar and the people who receive them will have their expressions filmed, first upset with getting a ticket and then joy at maybe winning something.

I could be totally wrong though.

You can see the teaser video below:

Vodafone kindly make their tariffs simpler and more expensive at the same time

Vodafone-LogoThose lovely people at Vodafone have only gone and rejigged their pricing tariffs. What does this mean? Well, for all of you who have been on a contract since before Feb 2011, you will have to pay more for you calls. Well, that is if you don’t leave Vodafone.

Vodafone have made it very easy to see the differences, as in the table below. Questionably referred to as ‘simplifying tariffs,’ Vodafone have rounded some rates up to the nearest 50p. Making it, I guess, simpler to count up. However, if paying more is simpler then I guess we are all wanting the wrong thing.
