The folks at RIM have released a second official video demonstrating BlackBerry 6. Once again the demo is taking place on a touch screen device and it looks super.
What we need now is a demo of BlackBerry 6 running on a non touch screen device. I know the 9800 slider will more than likely be the first device released with 6 but with so many millions of us using Bolds and Curves we need to see what the future holds for us.
The popular CNN news network have just released a rather excellent application for the iPhone. As you will see in the video below the app incorporates not just the news headlines but video as well as some other super features.

A few months ago I got my hands on the Archos 5 Internet Media Tablet and we did a little review of the portable media player.
This time I’ve got my hands on the Archos 5 Internet Tablet to review. So at this point you may be wondering if I’ve just repeated myself in the last two sentences. However, the two devices are indeed different. The hardware on both the Internet Media and the Internet Tablet are much the same, the come in 32GB to 500GB models for example. However where they differ is in the operating system. The Internet Media tablet having a custom Linux-based OS and the Internet Tablet has a more standard Android operating system. We thought it would be worth seeing what this Android version had to offer.
As always the review is in the making but for now you can take a look at the unboxing video below.
Radio technology started with just that – radio waves. Now though, newer ways of delivering radio station content have been developed, with DAB digital radio paving the way, and now internet radio. Digital radio is still yet to invade people’s homes, but internet radio with its added features, could be the advancement that old-school radio buffs have been waiting for, this article is definitely worth to read if you enjoy of radio devices.
The Squeezebox is one of a growing range of available internet radios – ones that stream stations from the internet. The benefits include better sound quality without that notorious analogue hiss, and a much, much wider selection of radio from around the globe to listen to. So, internet radio is all well and good on paper, but whether this particular internet radio from Logitech is really capable of replacing your battered FM radio in practice is the one question that’s probably in your mind, and luckily for you, is also the one that we’re about to answer. Read on to catch our verdict.
solomondrin.net has released yet another video of the BlackBerry 9800, this time of it booting and going through the set up process. If you are not a BlackBerry fan then this may not sound very exciting but if like me you are a bit of a BlackBerry addict then this video will have you salivating at the lips. The boot up screen is absolutely awesome.
Check it out below and please let us have your thoughts on the forum.
The Nokia X3 has been around for a while now but we constantly get asked about it, possibly because it’s just got the circa £100 on PAYG mark. So we decided we had better get around to unboxing and reviewing it.
Being part of the X Series range, the device is based around music and although fairly basic it does come with a very affordable price tag.
Running Symbian Series 40 the user interface will be familiar to Nokia users and therefore navigating the phones menu will be a piece of cake. Unlike the Nokia X6, we have previously reviewed, this one comes with a proper hardware keypad which most Nokia users are used too.
With its music controls located along side the screen could the Nokia X3 be a good alternative to carrying an MP3 player? Only one way to find out. Lets unbox and put it to the test.
This week Gareth, Andy, Matt and James are chewing the fat about Apple, HTC and Blackberry in this action packed mobile podcast. The iPhone 4 resolution is upon us, the Nexus One is being laid to waste and RIM put a little effort in Blackberry.
Earlier today we showed you the forthcoming web kit browser from RIM courtesy of salomondrin.net and the goodness continues. In the below video he shows us the media features on the BlackBerry 9800 Slider.
As you will see the visual changes to the music player, photo gallery and video player are pretty amazing. As well as looking great the new OS seems to flow beautifully and is rather nippy. See how quickly the screen rotates.
I am so excited about this I need to go have a wee.
We recently showed you some videos posted by salomondrin.net in which he had his hands on the BlackBerry 9800 slider.
The good news is he still has the device and has released a new bunch of videos. In this first one he demonstrates the new web kit browser and shows how much faster it is compared with the one we are currently using.
It looks real nice and I have a suspicion that once this is available my iPhone4 may be getting used a little less certain things.
Have a look below and we will bring you more later today.
Here is a quick video demo of Traffic Eye for iPhone. With the UK roads being rather congested at times what is better that trying to avoid the jams. Traffic Eye will enable you to do this by letting you view the CCTV cameras on our motorways and major A roads. What a splendid idea.
The app is free and can be found in the app store. See what you think?
