The guys over 4winmobile have got their hands on the latest Eten DX900 Windows Mobile Phone. What’s special about this one is it has two sim card slots that can be used at the same time. This means you can have one phone that has your business sim card and your personal sim card installed and active at the same time. Both lines work together which saves you having to carry around two handsets. The specs are pretty good too, more info after the break.
We are all in favour of software for Windows Mobile that improves the touch experience and keeps the stylus tucked away, well Pointui have just released a preview video of their soon to be available software that does just that. Also in the latest version there are applets and many other new features, we have the video after the break.
SeeqPod Inc., the Playable Search™ company, today unveiled the only application for Windows Mobile devices that allows users to play search results from any Windows Mobile powered device. The Open Handset Alliance, which is headed by Google and which develops Android handset platform, on Wednesday announced that fourteen additional companies have joined the association with the aim to assist in further development of the Android, build new devices powered by the operating system or enable infrastructure. We mentioned the other day about a ROM for the Touch HD that includes the new version of Internet Explorer Mobile. Well Pocketnow have installed it on heir Touch HD and have produced a video of it in action. It has support for Flash and AJAX, plus has a much improved rendering engine although it still seems a little slow and video playback was choppy in YouTube. Video of it in action after the break.
Paul from MoDaCo forums has devised a cooked ROM to enable HTC Touch HD users to have Internet Explorer 6 on their device.
So here’s a custom WWE (English) ROM rom for the Blackstone, created it for my own use to try out IE6 and thought y’all might like to have a play!
It’s based on the 1.19 Asian ROM.
Changes…
– Added IE6 Mobile!
– Changed IE6 Mobile default search to Google
– Added official MS build of Flash Lite
– Added .net CF 3.5
– Added Remote Desktop Mobile
– Added AppToDate
– Added Batti (with main battery meter disabled)
– Added Donate
– Added ‘Blackstone Additions’ performance tuning (AppToDate compatible)
– Added Business Card Reader from Euro ROMs
– Added RSSHub from Euro ROMs
– Added MoDaCo News and MoDaCo Podcast to RSS Hub defaults
– Added Google Map from Euro ROMs
– Added TouchResponse (uninstallable)
– Removed Windows Update
– Removed Welcome Center
– Removed MS Sample Music
– Removed .net CF 2.0
– Using JBlend JVM
– Changed Opera 9.5 and skin to be uninstallable– UC Compatible
Known issues:
None as yet. Be aware that if you are on T-Mobile, the auto config puts in a proxy that screws a number of things up. Immediately after completing the wizard, hit up settings -> connections -> connections and disable the proxy!
Update format:
– Custom RUU – ensure you have HardSPL installed from here first! You can also install by extracting the EXE with WinRAR (PC) / Betterzip (MAC), renaming ruu_signed.nbh to BLACIMG.NBH, placing it in the root of your storage card then turning on your device with the volume button held down. Handy for mac users like myself
Included:
– OS ONLY, no splash or radio
Obviously Tracy & Matt take no responsibility for issues arrising from this download however it is rather interesting so we thought it worth posting.
If you want this then here it is.

It’s been several months now since we last caught sight of the 5-megapixel Asus Glaxy 7 phone, but it seems that Mobile Review were lucky enough to snag one for a quick review. So far, based on their impression on this Omnia look alike, it’s pretty well built and the Glide interface is almost on par with HTC’s TouchFlo3D.
MoDaCo have released a custom ROM for the HTC Touch HD and included in the ROM is the much anticipated IE 6 on 6. The ROM is a World Wide Edition in English and is based on the HTC 1.19 Asia ROM. You must download the whole ROM image and upgrade your phone with it, as this browser is not available as a separate download. Since it is not clear which manufacturers will release a ROM upgrade with this browser, it may well be that some phones will never ever get this browser officially. You can find all the details over at MoDaCo.

We recently started looking a a couple of Nokia handsets and have already reviewed the Nokia N96 and unboxed the Nokia N79. This time we are unboxing the new Nokia N85. The N85 is kinda similar to the N96, with a few exceptions, one being that the N85 doesn’t have the on-board memory that the N96 has.
The Nokia N85
Our reviewer, Dan, is trying out the N85 and N79 as we speak so the reviews will be online soon. For now here’s the unbox:
The Nokia N85 is pre-loaded with at least 10 made-for-mobile N-Gage gaming titles and a voucher to activate one full game license. Dedicated gaming keys light up when the device is in landscape gaming mode to further enhance the action-packed experience.

Combined with A-GPS it is possible to geotag favorite pictures to see where each photo was taken using the Nokia Maps application or online sites such as Share on Ovi or Flickr.
Each Nokia N85 comes with an 8 GB microSD card, up to 30 hours of music playback time and its high-fidelity sound means favorite tracks can be enjoyed virtually anywhere. You can even enjoy RDS radio or a wide selection of stations via the internet. The 3.5 mm audio jack makes connecting a top-quality headset simple and an in-built FM transmitter lets the Nokia N85 play wirelessly through a car or home stereo to really crank up the sound. Therefore the Nokia N85 is perfect for the mobile user, who wants top end fatures and functionality and complete connectivity when away from the office or home.
