Gizmodo have a sneaky picture of the iPhone factory line. So I guess these phone aren’t forged in the lava’s of Mordor. In fact, quite the opposite, looks a little like Tesco’s packaged donuts.

Orange mobile broadband + free laptop

Orange (again) have announced they will be providing a new deal for those looking for a mobile internet solution outside of their phone. This will directly compete with 3’s slashing of mobile broadband package deals. Mobile New International reports:

Those Germans are odd folks. Here is one of the hilarious things the mobile companies get up to over there in Germanland. Those whom have ordered an iPhone and are currently awaiting stock are receiving a nice papercraft iPhone to keep them happy in the interim. Hilarious if you haven’t ordered one, but I know if if I was waiting I would be fuming.

Zune Phone to run Windows Mobile 7

Over at PMP Today is a article about the rumoured ZunePhone. It would be a nice entrance the new incarnation of Windows Mobile to be packaged on a dedicated phone from Microsoft. Everything is pure speculation at the moment so I guess you could throw anything into the mix.

Apple have posted 3 new 3G iPhone adverts to encourage you to take the plunge. The adverts are pretty straight forward with no gimmicks or arty concepts. It explains some of the nice features and breaks down some techno babble into layman’s terms.

Stephen Fry’s take on the HTC Diamond.

Actor, writer, director and all round funny guy Stephen Fry has announced his dislike of the little HTC Diamond. Mr. Fry doesn’t appear to be the biggest fan of the Windows Mobile platform and seems to greatly prefer the Apple movement at the moment. He points out a number of the flaws already know however as Edward J. R. points out over at msmobiles.com "Stephen Fry is wrong because HTC Touch Diamond has no multi-touch display at all."

How mobile tech has changed how we do things, Part 1

Having just arrived in the South of France it got me thinking how this trip relied on Mobile Technology and how much it has benefited us compared with making a trip some 10 years ago. First off the Gete (French Farmhouse) was all sourced through the Internet, the various on route hotels again booked online along with the tickets to get through the Channel Tunnel. These details were all emailed and stored on my iPhone for a paperless system.

Facebook on a mobile has always a daunting thing, however Faceofmobile.com offer a simple client that operates all your favourite features of Facebook on the go. I saw it a month or two ago, however it was for North America only. Now its for all the folks of the world. Its small, memory-lite and exceedingly easy to use. A look at the Samsung i8510
