Sony Ericsson MBW-200 Bluetooth Watch unboxing video

BTWatch-7 Something a little out of the ordinary for you for a Sunday afternoon. There are tons of Bluetooth devices out there and there have been a number of Bluetooth watches in the past so when I first heard about the Sony Ericsson MBW-200 I thought it would be some ugly, chunky affair that no-one would be seen dead wearing. However, further research in to the product revealed something quite different. The MBW-200 looks quite like an ‘ordinary’ watch, pretty attractive and functional as a timepiece without being to large or overly garish.

I decided to ask Sony Ericsson if I could have one to look at. I think the request surprised them, they even queried that I meant the Bluetooth watch when I asked for the MBW-200!

Whilst there wont be a full blown review of the MBW-200 I will write up my thoughts and comments of the watch once I have had chance to give it a proper try.

Take a look at the unboxing video I recorded below, you’ll see a quick ‘tour’ of the watch as well as seeing how it charges and the overall packaging, which I think is really decent. I’d say it would make a decent gift for anyone that loves their gadgets!

Samsung B3410 unboxing video

B3410 Samsung released the B3410, also known as the CorbyPlus or the Delphi, at the end of last year. It seems to have become a pretty popular pay as you go handset. With it’s sliding QWERTY keyboard and decent size display it seems to be one to appeal to those that send a lot of text messages or use social networks apps such as Twitter or Facebook.

With its Hybrid Touch & QWERTY layout with a variety messaging and multimedia features, the Samsung B3410 is the perfect companion for socially active youth who want fast, convenient connection with family and friends. Complete with slide out qwerty keypad, Samsung B3410 provides optimised SMS, MMS and email support, a threaded message inbox, easy access to SNS, Support for multiple IM services and Bluetooth messaging.

However, with no 3G connectivity and having its own Java based OS, does the B3410 have a broader appeal and what experience does it offer? Well the full review will be here for you within the next few days but until then check out the unboxing and brief demo video below for a taster…

All U.S. Android phones to get 2.1 upgrade

Android-Logo-Leaning

Androidandme is reporting that all phone released with Android in the U.S. are to be upgraded to the latest 2.1 firmware. This is a pretty big deal and something of a commendable action from Google. Whilst some of the older phones, like the 1st gen G1 and Mytouch 3G, will not receive more ambitious features like live wallpapers or the upcoming Flash 10.1, they will still be running off the 2.1 firmware. The big drawback is that some will require a complete reinstall, i.e. a wipe or a PC based install. Still, it’s great news and one can only home it will be the same for those devices in the UK.

LG’s Windows Phone 7 Series … phone

 lg-win-phone-exclusive-13top

Engadget have published a whole rake of pictures for a prototype LG phone running Windows Phone 7 Series, a little over a week after Mobile World Congress. Whilst Microsoft were unable to answer most of the direct questions on the platform it seems they were being truthful about the OS being in a usable state. My suspicion was that they had put together an interactive flash demo to show off what they had hoped would be the final product. Instead I now think they sent out a tonne of spin doctors to answer questions on a build they hadn’t touched.

Nexus One coming to Vodafone in April

GoogleNexusOne

The Telegraph is reporting that the Nexus One will launch on Vodafone in April for a non-disclosed price, though it’s "likely to be priced very similarly to comparable smartphones such as the iPhone." It’s no secret that Vodafone’s picking up Google’s Snapdragon-powered beast. Coincidentally, this is going to collide head-to-head with the European release of the Desire, HTC’s remix of the Nexus One with Sense and an optical pad thrown in, so it’ll be fascinating to see which of these monsters comes out on top at retail.
