devicewire.com have a fantastic new service on their website – Live Chat.
As from now, if you visit devicewire you will notice the words Live Chat at the top right of the page, in red. Give it a click and you will be connected to to them over the internet and can ask them whatever it is you need to know. Its very similar to using Windows Live Messenger or even Facebook Chat. What a great idea!
We mentioned last week a few changes including a free phone number but this Live Chat really makes life easier for customers with a query.
And it works. I just tried it out and Tom was online to help with a couple of seconds. I’m sure he thought I was bonkers as I said I was just testing!
You may have seen our Motorola Milestone review a little while, if so you’ll know that we were pretty impressed with the handset, certainly the best QWERTY keyboarded Android device out there at the moment in our opinion.
So how would you like to enable USB-Host mode on your Motorola Milestone (aka Motorola Droid)? Having a hunt around the web a few days ago I discovered that a clever chap, Chris Paget, has come up with a way to use USB storage devices on the Milestone. It’s a bit of a hack, you’ll have to make your own USB cable and ‘dongle’ in order to do it but if you head over to Chris’s website you’ll find full instructions on how to do it!
Rumours of a new HTC device starting to surface, Tweets from two different people this morning mentioning the HTC HD Mini. Very little information about the rumoured handset but I wonder is this may actually be the ‘new’ name for the device we believed to be the HTC Diamond3.
We assume that it’ll have atleast a HVGA display and guess that it’ll have a screen of between 3″ and 3.5″. Will it be Windows Mobile or Android? Again, we assume WinMo to fall in line the other HD branded models but who knows!

Do you use Spotify, We7 or Last FM? Well you may see a drop in the number of available tunes to listen to as Warner Music Group have said they will stop licensing its songs to free music streaming services.
Warner Music Group are one of the 4 major music labels and its artists include the likes of Staind, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Hard Fi, Michael Buble, The Enemy, REM, and Wilco – to name just a few.
Few weeks ago Apple has opened the floodgates and, all of a sudden, started approving apps that allow for video recording also on iPhone 2G and iPhone 3G phones – a feature until recently possibly only on iPhone 3GS. As side effect of this opening, many apps were created that allow for video recording with special effects also on iPhone 3GS…
While there are many apps that allow for video recording on iPhones older than 3GS, some of them even free, here we are reviewing the first app, which had managed to get through the floodgates and that was the one that benefited financially the most from this opening: iVideocamera:
We quickly discussed the potential for Google Buzz on our most recent podcast after it was implemented into Googlemail yesterday. It’ doesn’t stop there as you can see in this typically friendly Google video. The impact does have the potential to upset the Facebook grasp and is a attractive Android addition. Whilst it’s available for the iPhone and Windows Mobile it seems that it will be central to the Android platform and for good reason. The whole Buzz thing makes a great deal more sense that Google Wave and seems to really serve a purpose. In the long run it will probably embed the features of Wave and become almost an operating system in itself. Check after the break for the video:

Looks like the HD2 is going to be a champ Stateside as the inclusion of multitouch will certainly attract a great deal more interest than without. After most networks simply don’t do it for average customers HTC must be making changes to try to shift this out the warehouse. I wonder if a firmware upgrade will be made available for those who have paid handsomely in Europe.
News of Google’s latest new service seem to be everywhere this morning. I’m talking about Google Buzz. This new service aims to compete with the likes of Twitter and Facebook by adding social networking elements in to your existing GMail account.
Buzz automatically follows the people you email and chat with the most in Gmail without seting it up and you can share your ideas publicly or privately just like any other social network.
Buzz is not available to everyone yet, it seems that only our US friends have the BUZZ button added to their GMail accounts so far. Some people not in the US report having some success in enabling buzz by going in to their Google account settings and changing their language to English(US) and their location to USA. If you try this then remember to log out of Google, clear your cookies and then log back in. Does it work for you? I’ve not had any luck!
For the rest of us then, all we can do for now is buzz.google.com from your iPhone and Android handset to have a play with it.
