Two videos of the Archos 5 arrive

archos-sur-minidock-thumb Archosfans have posted both an unboxing and a review of the Archos 5. The humourous French site is obviously rather excited by the device, so much so that the videos are quite raw and badly shot (also beware of the music in the second.)

Kinoma Play update now available

image We are big fans of the Kinoma Play software here at Mobile Tech Addicts in fact, Gareth has just posted his impressions of the software in the reviews section. Well it is good to see that they have just released an update to the software to address a few issues and would you believe they have actually told you what those fixes are, not like Apples "Bug Fixes" statement. The update can also be done over the air, nice one Kinoma. Full details after the break.

EA releasing some top games for iPhone

image EA have announced a boat load of new games coming to the iPhone really soon. The App Store has taken a lot of criticism since launch day about the quality of the applications and I have always thought it would take 6 – 12 months for developers to start to produce top quality apps and games. With this announcement at least it looks like we are going to see some great new games. The full list is Yahtzee Adventures, Mini Golf, Lemonade Tycoon, Mahjong, Monopoly: Here & Now The World Edition, SimCity, Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 09, Need for Speed Undercover , and The Sims 3. Also Spore should be in the App Store this weekend, Sunday to be precise.  Full press release after the break.

LG Prada II specs

prada2 BGR has come across some specs of the Prada II. The Prada I was easily one of LG’s prettiest phones but suffered from nightmarish text entry. The Prada II benefits from a full qwerty keyboard! The Viewty’s interface was excellent and combining that with specs after the break will lead to a rather tasty phone!

Glofiish X610 and V900 by E-TEN

Announced back in February, the Glofiish X610 and V900 are finally nearing release (or so E-TEN claim).

V900 & X610

Whilst we know that the X610’s specs aren’t screaming out "I’m fantastic", it’s a pretty good looking device with Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional. The more "I’m Fantastic" of these two is the V900, a device that can handle DVB-H, DVB-T, T-DMB, and DAB broadcasts on a VGA display that certainly doesn’t hurt its case.

So far, the launches on these two are noted simply as "soon," so best keep your eyes open for further release details (or subscribe to our blog via RSS)

We have been promised a trial of these units soon so again watch out for our usual un boxing video’s and detailed reviews.

In the meantime lets have a look at the specs that come with these handsets.

Samsung i900 Omnia heading to the US

imageThe Samsung Omnia is by far the best Windows Mobile handset they have made so far, we reviewed it a few weeks ago, well the downside for our US friends was again the lack of 3G bands for them to benefit from fast data speeds. Well that looks like it is about to change a the FCC has just approved two new variants of the Omnia, the i907 and the i910. Full details after the break.

Wikio Universal RSS button makes RSS easy

OK So we’ve been working with the team over at Wikio to get ourselves a new fancy RSS button for the site. The Wikio Universal RSS button is simple to use and you can get one for your site too. If you want to let your readers subscribe to your blog with their personal choice of RSS reader then this is for you.

You simply need to follow this step by step guide in getting your own Wikio RSS button.

image

  • Enter the URL of the page you want the RSS Button for in the area as shown below

image

  • Choose your button type and grab the code presented to you in the box beneath (see screen shot) and get it to your site.

image

The general idea is that this button will allow you to put just one single RSS button on your blog. Clicking on this button will then enable your readers to subscribe to your blogg via the RSS feed using the RSS service of their choice, and it thus means you no longer have to display a long list of various RSS services and their corresponding buttons.

Clicking on the button once it’s been installed on your site should open a new page containing a selection of the most popular RSS subscription buttons.

See, it’s that simple……. enjoy!
