Samsung S3370 unboxing video

S3370The Samsung S3370 is part of their Corby range but this new low end touch screen device is now packing 3G so web browsing etc wont be quite as frustrating.

Running Samsung’s, now so familiar, TouchWiz UI the S3370 will be a low cost, lightweight basic phone although it does support a vast range of features including email, Bluetooth, 3G, music player, 1.3mp camera with smile detection and integrated social media applications such as Facebook and MySpace.

As I write this I am not sure how much the Samsung S3370 will retail for but I would imagine it will be inline with previous Corby phones and therefore on PAYG should sell for around the £75.00 mark.

Lets unbox and see what we get for our money.

Samsung Galaxy S (i9000) Review

Samsung Galaxy S Review main

The Galaxy S is without doubt the highest specced device Samsung has produced to date. With it running Android 2.1 and with an expected upgrade to 2.2 in the coming months it is perfectly placed in a market where the Android platform is growing on a daily basis.

With recent Android flagship devices being released by the likes of HTC and Motorola and also the new Apple iPhone 4 is the Samsung Galaxy S a contender for top place?

Only one way to find out and that is to read on.

HP Photosmart A532 unboxing video

A532-angled I’m sure that our regular readers will know that I am really in to my photography and I’m rarely found without my camera in tow. But like so many people I rarely commit my photos to paper. Over the years I’ve owned various photo printers from my first Olympus printer costing several hundred pounds where the prints, on special paper and ink, cost over £1 each to several other inkjet printers.

HP have had a range of dedicated photo printers for a while and the Photosmart range is certainly popular. Our friends over at IT247.com sent us the Photosmart A532 to review and also to give away as a competition prize (details coming up in a post shortly).

The print quality of the Photosmart A532 is amazing, and it’s cheap to run too. But at the moment, perhaps the most staggering thing about the A532 from IT247.com is that it’ll cost you less than £45! That’s about £35 of the RRP and the price that you might pay elsewhere! Check here to order.

In the video below you’ll see what’s included in the box, how easy it is to set up and how quick it prints. I’ll have a written review for you soon but for now this will give you an overview.

Eken M001 Android tablet unboxing video

201052717129170 A few weeks ago I mentioned that we’d spotted the Eken M001 Android tablet on eBay. At the time I’d never heard of Eken and the images shown of the device looked kin of fake, I was suspicious.

However, as we’ve now discovered it is indeed a real device and you can pick these up online for anything from £100 upwards.

Running Android 1.6 with a 7″ Touchscreen, 128MB ram and SD card support it seems like a decent toy for the £100 mark, about a quarter of the price of the iPad for example.

Should Apple be scared? Er, definitely not but there are several manufacturers out there now offering alternatives so we decided to check this one out.

Below you’ll see my quick unboxing video which I hope will give you a flavour of what the product has to offer. There will be a review online soon too.

Nokia N9 caught on video

Nokia N9

The guys at negrielectronics have kindly released some high quality video footage of the Nokia N9 (if that is what it will be officially called). We have seen photos of this Nokia slider before but as you will see the video gives us a pretty in depth your of the device.

Unlike the Nokia N900 this new device is running Symbian^3 which I think is the right move for Nokia based on how many Symbian devices Nokia already has.

Have a look at the video below and let us know your thoughts over on the forum.

HTC Wildfire review

HTC Wildfire review Having been announced less than a month ago I was initially surprised to see the HTC Wildfire arrive in the office here so soon. Granted, we’ve already seen the Wildfire go on pre-order sale (SIM-free) at some retailers and some UK carriers announce that they too will stock it but we still thought it was some way off.

The HTC Wildfire appears to be HTC’s attempt to break in to lower end of the market. HTC’s recent wave of handsets have been at the upper-end at around the £400 mark for the HTC Desire and a little less for the HTC Legend. The Wildfire then is much less expensive than the HTC Desire which is widely regarded as the Wildfire’s bigger brother. This is a smartphone with a ‘feature phone’ price tag.

If you saw my HTC Wildfire unboxing video a few days ago you may have noticed that I said we’ll be doing something a little different with this review. Whilst the top section of the review will follow our normal format and will keep everything factual with just a little of my opinion in there the lower portion of the review will introduce comments from James, Tracy and possibly a few other members of the team, we’re going to try making it a broad view.

(a word of caution, there are a LOT of images but you can click on any one for a full-sized view.)

Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini unboxing video

x10mini It seems like a long time ago that we first saw the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini, it was actually back at MWC in February that James first got his hands on one and shortly after we got some hands on time with the Mini and the Mini Pro at a Sony Ericsson event.

So obviously it has taken Sony Ericsson some time to being the X10 Mini to market but we’re not sure what the reason for that might be, perhaps issues with gearing up the manufacturing or issues with the software, that’s anyones guess really but just the other week Orange picked up the X10 mini and are now offering it on contract.

If you haven’t seen the X10 Mini before then you might be surprised at just how small it is. I’m sure that it must be the smallest Android handset out there and among the smallest of any type. Even when you are told how small you don’t really appreciate it until you hold it yourself for the first time.

In the video below you’ll see me unbox the little beauty and show you some of the basic features and installed apps. We’ll have a full review for you soon too.

BlackBerry Curve 9300 in video

bb-9300_2

The guys at technobuffalo have managed to get their hands on a T-Mobile branded BlackBerry Curve 9300, the lucky devils.

We have seen leaked pictures of this new Curve before but this time it is on video. Most disappointing is the fact that the 9300 is not running BlackBerry 6 which many of us were hoping would happen. We will just need to be more patient.

So as we said last time, there is not a tonne of changes in the 9300 compared to its predecessor. The optical track pad and the chrome finish around the device are the obvious differences as well as being packed with 3G, however there is a slight change with the keyboard.

Check out the below video and see what John from technobufflo has to say.
