HTC Hero About To Fly Into The US

Yes folks, you heard it right. Even though nothing was mentioned at the press release a few days ago the now very famous HTC Hero has been spotted on the FCC website today. Covering WCDMA on Bands II and V (1900 and 850MHz) it would suggest that it will be going to AT&T subscribers as this is what they would need to flip the switch on high-speed data, however we’re not sure if this negates rumours that the Hero would be going to Sprint instead.

Either way it don’t really matter but one thing is for sure, Americans will now be well chuffed.

Pink iPhone 3Gs Appears

No ladies, I’m really sorry but this is not an intentional colour release by Apple, its the colour the phone turns (or glows) due to an overheating problem.

A new meaning to iPhone’s are HOT

Its certainly not the first time iPhones have had their problems with overheating but this is certainly new in the fact that the white version gives a nice warm plink glow.

Currently on Orange’s UK site with a "coming soon" badge, the TG01’s appearance could mean that the July 9th London press event is when this device will be showcased.

I’m sure Matt will be on the phone to Orange really soon to get our hands on one so watch this space closely.

HTC Hero launch

Well we’re here at the HTC Hero launch event just waiting for the presentation to start. Just been told that we will be allowed to film the presentation after all so we’ll have that up online as soon as we can over the event.

We also have a selection of photos and Hero related content provided to us on a USB key so we’ll be posting that live just as soon as the embargo is lifted.

We know that we’ll have a chance to get hands on with some devices later on today so Paul and I should be able to video a little tour.

We also know that we’ll be looking at the anticipated HTC ‘ROSIE’ UI which is to be called HTC Sense.

HTC Launch Event Today!

HTC are holding an event on Wednesday 24th June and we’ll be going along to see what they are going to announce. We have a strong suspicion that it’s going to be an Android-centric event so we’ll be expecting to see the new HTC Hero and perhaps another device or two on show.

As with other events, Paul @ MoDaCo and I will be live-blogging together in an attempt to get all the news down as we get it. Please follow this post on the day and you’ll be able to participate in the live-blog and submit your questions. We’ll be speaking with some of the guys from HTC after the event so if you have any questions that you would like us to pose to them then please drop me a line and I’ll be pleased to attempt to get some answers for you!

We will of course do our best to get as much video coverage of the event and we’ll have that uploaded for you just as soon as we can.
