Not long to go folks. The HTC legend will be available to buy here in the UK from March 23rd.
As I am sure you have seen, the Legend is all over the internet at the moment and for a good reason. Its a blooming great phone. I am lucky enough to currently have the Legend and our full review should be online within the the next couple of days. We could have done it sooner but here at tracyandmatt.co.uk we firmly believe in giving devices a thorough test and it would not have been a fair review if we just used it for a day and wrote about it. Good things come to those who wait!
The HTC Legend will retail from £376 on its release date and you can snap one up from all of our sponsors on the site.
If you have not checked out Matt’s Legend unboxing or demo video I would urge you to do so as the device really is quite stunning.
I just spotted a fantastic video demonstration of Windows Phone 7 Series on the web.
Internet Entrepreneur and all round Tech Geek Chris Pirillo has posted an fantastic 17 minute video of him getting a hands on demo from Microsoft.
Whether you have seen ‘7’ in action or not its well worth making a coffee, getting comfortable and settling down for what I think is the best video so far showing the new OS in action.
Enough of me talking. Enjoy

The International Pass will be available to all new and existing customers on pay as you go, and will benefit from similar rates to pay monthly customers on International options. Customers already on the Pass will automatically get the new rates from 8 March. Any other customers wanting to take advantage of these special rates should text INT to 441 free of charge..
Yes, you read it correctly. Devicewire.com are offering the HTC Legend, Desire and HD Mini free of charge with a Vodafone contract!
HTC HD Mini, Legend and Desire
Earlier in the week we mentioned that devicewire were taking pre-orders for the devices sim free. Now if you cant or wont buy the unlocked version you can get the devices for as little as £25.00 per month on a 24 month Vodafone contract. With 300 minutes, unlimited sms and email whether you like a two year contract or not it looks like a real bargain if you ask me.
I certainly could handle this sort of deal. With more and more of us making less phone calls and relying more on email and instant messaging this package looks rather attractive.
Pop on over to devicewire and take a butchers!

If you were interested in seeing the photos of the BlackBerry slider we published yesterday then here is another. This time its sitting beside the BlackBerry Curve 8900 and you can see the similarities. Initially i asked could this new slider be the next BlackBerry Storm? Looking at the photo I would say its more likely to be in the ‘Bold’ range judging by the keys on the keyboard but we will have to wait and see.
Remember this has not been confirmed by RIM so nothing is for sure. Once thing I have spotted on the device that is different to the current BlackBerry smart phones is that the four buttons under the screen (send, end, BB and back) are all one piece of plastic. On the other devices each button is separate. Could these be touch sensitive?
Anyway, we will let you know if we find any other news on this BlackBerry as I have a feeling it will be big when and if it hits the market.

I spotted this today over at bbleaks.com
While the pictures are not confirmed, as RIM have made no announcements they do look pretty real. If this is close to what RIMs first BlackBerry slider will look like them I am certainly excited about it.
This could be what BlackBerry users have been waiting for. A big touch screen with the added bonus of the hardware QWERTY that so many millions of BlackBerry users love, including me.
Could this new slider also be launched with OS version 6.0 and maybe the forthcoming new BlackBerry web browser?
I would love to hear your thoughts on the forum. Please head on over and lets discuss!
If you could not spare the cash to buy the Motorola Milestone SIM free when it was released here in December by eXpansys then today is your lucky day.
If you nip down to The Carphone Warehouse you can snap up a Milestone for as little as nothing on 12, 18 & 24 month contracts with Orange, Vodafone and T-Mobile.
Rather surprised to see this handset go from being an exclusive with one retailer to being sold just about everywhere in such a short space of time!
You may have seen the news today that Apple have issued a press release today announcing that they have filed a lawsuit against HTC for alleged patent infringement. The press release goes on to state that 20 patents related to the iPhones user interface, underlying architecture and hardware have been infringed.
These kind of allegations are not uncommon in the mobile industry however I have just received the following official statement from HTC regarding the issue:
