Sony Ericsson Zylo review

zylo-main The Zylo is a mid priced Walkman mobile from Sony Ericsson and is a hefty addition to the Walkman mobile phone range. The Zylo is a substantial feeling device. It weighs in at 115 grams, which is by no means excessive however the Zylo certainly has a quality feel. It does a great job of setting itself aside from the lower priced Walkman devices in the range.

The Zylo is a classic slider device with numerical keypad and classic Walkman control on its face.

Read on to see what I think of one of Sony Ericsson’s latest Walkman handsets.

Toshiba Camileo S20 Review

toshiba_camileo_s20-274x300 The Toshiba Camileo S20 is a pocket camcorder capable of recording full High Definition video. In fact, pocket camcorders are a relatively new phenomenon that are characterised by their somewhat limited feature set – for their size and sheer portability though, they have proven to be very popular especially for the YouTube enthusiasts. This Camileo S20 from Toshiba is as thin as cutting edge smartphones were not long ago, yet packs features like a slow-motion and a 3 inch display.

So what did we think of it? Is it worth carrying around yet another device? Read on to find out.

HP ProBook 4525 & HP 620 Laptops Review

both There are more laptops sold these days than desktop PCs, and with fair reason – they offer the average user all they could want without the ugly beige box and monitor taking up all that space. They’re sleek and powerful, widescreen and wireless and allow you to peruse the important issues of the day’s Facebook in front of the goggle box. Yes, laptops are awesome, and there are loads to choose from. So in such a competitive area, a laptop naturally has to stand out from the crowd to get noticed – some go for raw power, giving those doing CPU intensive task the grunt they need. Others go for sleek and attractive design – thin, curved and shell-like.

So have HP given us two laptops that stand up on their raw power or stand out with their design? Well, err, um…

Archos 3cam Vision review

Archos 3cam Vision review As with many others Archos is a name I am very familiar with in the world of MP3/4 players however these days it seems manufacturers really must go above and beyond the norm. In order to stand out from the ever-dominant fruit based market.

Revolabs xTag USB Wireless Microphone unboxing video

xtag1 If you are a regular Skype user like me or you do a lot of voice dictation then having a good quality microphone is a must. However the next feature you may look for is wireless connectivity. I personally find hands-free or rather wire-free podcasting much more convenient.

The problem is that all too often the lack of cable also leads to a lack of quality. But with the Revolabs xTag Microphone you get quality and convenience, a wearable microphone and headphone combination.

The Revolabs xTag Microphone is a wireless microphone ideal for business schools or even video calling family and friends. With crystal clear clarity your audience will hear every single word. The microphone is light, slim and can be attached to a lapel or use the lanyard supplied. Using the lastest in audio technology to make sure you get heard.

Below you’ll find a brief unboxing video and we’ll have the review up for you soon. IT247.com is currently offering the xTag Microphone and the Facevision TouchCam N1 Webcam as an exclusive bundle.

Hauwei IDEOS unboxing video

huawei-ideos_1 A few weeks ago we were invited to the Huawei IDEOS launch event and managed to get our hands on the new Android device for a brief demo video. We have been impressed with this new little handset from Huawei, not least because it’s the first to ship with Android 2.2, but also because it is literally packed with features that you would expect to find on higher-end devices; capacitive touchscreen, turn-by-turn navigation and compass to mention just a few. Incredible when you learn that the price of the IDEOS is set to be between £99 and £129 when launched!

On Saturday I managed to get my hands on the full retail version of the Huawei IDEOS and recorded an unboxing and demo video for you which you will find below. We’ll have a full review for you over the next few weeks.

FaceVision FV TouchCam N1 unboxing video

FV_TouchCam_N1_side If you’ve ever used a webcam for talking to friends over MSN or Skype the chances are you’ve been limited to QVGA or maybe VGA quality video. Webcams tend to yield noisy, grainy results. However FaceVision are looking to change all this with their FV TouchCam N1 HD webcam which, I believe, is the first HD webcam to make it to market.

Capable of 720p at up to 22fps the N1 compresses and sends the video with H.264 compression. At the moment the N1 is only compatible with Windows PC’s running Skype 4.2 (with a special driver provided) but I hope that Mac version will be made available soon.

The Gadget Show are going to feature the N1 later in the week here in the UK but you saw it here first! The FV TouchCam N1 HD is currently exclusive to IT247.com so head over there if you want to pick one up!

The unboxing video follows:
