Site navigation changes

We’ve made a few changes to the site and the way in which some of the navigation works. There are lots of back end changes that you wont notice but the main changes are to the way in which you can view lists of all of our reviews and unboxing videos.

If you click on either the Reviews or Videos button the navigation bar above you’ll be presented with a list of all the posts from the appropriate category listed in date order.

You can also go straight to the reviews by going to www.tracyandmatt.co.uk/reviews or to the videos www.tracyandmatt.co.uk/videos

There are more changes to come so please do let us know if you notice anything strange or not working.

On the move!

Over the next few days we are going to be moving our site to a new home. There maybe be some down time during the move but we’ll aim to keep this to a minimum.

Once we are back up and running on our new server we’ll let you know. Please bear with us until then. We will still be posting regular news and reviews.

Let us know if you see any problems!

Tracy & Matt welcome “Nokia Nick”

The observant amoung you may have noticed that our Nokia N95 was posted by a new team member – “Nokia Nick”. Nick has been on the sidelines of the site for a while now and has been providing help with graphics from day one. More recently Nick has been our chief Podcaster!

So Tracy and I would like to take this opportunity to welcome Nick. Over the coming weeks we are hoping to post more podcasts with interviews and reviews as well as some non-Windows Mobile posts.

In Nick’s own words:

I’m a “non-techie geek” who loves technology and thinks that technology shouldn’t make me do extra work just to use and enjoy it. That’s one of my gripes with technology. I am a Smartphone and a Nokia phone user. Smartphones are amazing, if you can be arsed to get into all the setting up etc. hence the reason I am generally drawn to Nokia is that although they are far from perfect, they are simple. To me Nokia’s are very much mainstream consumer devices while Windows Smartphones are for power/ biz/ techie users. I hope my experience will bring something new to Tracy & Matt’s blog! Matt will be here for the technical stuff and to help everyone with device issues and I’ll be here to give my opinion as an average Joe with a phone. 🙂

Welcome aboard Nick!

New server, new home

Over the past months we have seen a rapid increase in our traffic levels, so much so that our poor old server couldn’t take the strain! Therefore, over the past few days we have been migrating the site over to a new dedicated webserver that should be our new home for a while.

If you can see this post then your DNS has updated correctly and you are looking at the new site. There should be a vast speed improvement over our old site.

If you notice anything strange or find anything broken then please email me (matt [at] tracyandmatt.co.uk) and let me know.

I wish to thank Iain for the sterling job in moving the site so efficiently. The site move is something I have been dreading for a while but it seems to have gone smoothly and seamlessly so far. If that isn’t tempting fate then I don’t know what is!

Windows Live Alerts

We are pleased to announce that we have included Windows Live Alerts into the site.

All you have to do is click on the ‘Windows Live Alerts’ button on the left (or the one the in this post) and you you’ll be able to sign up to be alerted each time we update the site. This is a free service provided by Microsoft.

Just as a heads, up you might find these alerts useful for something we have coming to the site in a few weeks. Hint, hint!! 😀

We’re back!

We finally have our main internet connection back up and running. It’s taken about 34 hours for EasyNET to resolve the exchange problems that kicked us offline.

So here we are, back with more meaningless dribble!
