It was only a few days ago that we posted about the possible specs for the Palm Pre 2. Now it would appear some photos have leaked thanks to a French website.
The photos don’t look like too much has changed on the Pre 2 apart from the improved ridge around the keyboard that I always said I could shave with.
Apparently the device is running WebOS 2.0 and has 1GHz with 512mb of RAM
Looks like good news for Palm fans. This could be just what you were looking for.
We have side on photo after the break…
The dell Venue Pro is not a device that we are due to have here in the UK for a while. That’s a shame as I kind of liked it. I was talking with a Dell product manager at the launch event who said we would get it at some point but at present it is exclusive to a US carrier.
As you will see in the video below the Venue Pro is a monster of a phone. I thought my BlackBerry Torch was big but the Dell dwarfs it! With a 4.1 inch screen and a sliding full QWERTY keyboard could the Venue Pro tempt some BlackBerry users?
See my hands on video below and also me comparing it with my BlackBerry Torch.
Here is another one to add to the tablet collection.
ZTE Corporation (“ZTE” or the “Group”) (A share stock code: 000063.SZ /H share stock code: 0763.HK), a leading global provider of telecommunications equipment and network solutions, launched its latest touch screen tablet PC, ZTE Light, today in Beijing. The device is displayed at “Beijing Exhibition”, bringing various distinct features in a slim and light weight tablet PC.
ZTE Light brings another dimension to internet access with its vast range of entertainment and business applications. It is altogether a more portable, easy-to-use and internet friendly tablet PC, adding a brand new experience to entertainment and internet access.
In tonight’s podcast Gareth interrogates James over the Windows Phone 7 event. Andy gets all gushy about his new phone whilst getting angry at the evil doers at T-Mobile and Orange. Matt makes an appearance and informs us of his little work bundler.

We missed out on the HTC 7 Pro at launch here in the UK but it is coming, trust me. The device is rumored for a European launch early next year. At a secret meet up last week where I used all the UK HTC WP7 devices we were told that the HTC 7 Pro would be available to all networks when it arrives here. Could this be a nice sim free solution?
The 7 Pro has some great specs as well as that stunning looking tilting keyboard. We all know that HTC are experts at producing great designs like this. Just look at the HTC Touch Pro 2. That was one of only a few phones to instantly be snapped up by all major American carriers when it launched there.
Anyway, enough of my waffle. See the HTC 7 Pro’s specs and some more photos after the break.
Samsungs UK offering to WP7 is the Omnia 7. With a 4 inch Super AMOLED screen it has the best display seen today by far. It is however more square looking and feeling than the others but will sell well I suspect.
Like the others it records video in 720P HD but only has a 5MP camera. I say only but its not a bad thing. Samsung produce great cameras and 5MP is more than most people need.
Video after the break along with the spec.
Next up in our Windows Phone 7 video collection is the HTC 7 Mozart.
The Mozart is the smallest of the phones seen today but having a 3.7 inch screen makes it far from small. Combined with a 8mp camera, xenon flash and 720P HD video recording the device is exclusive to Orange here in the UK and there will be some aggressive marketing done to promote it.
You can see the video and a reminder of its specs after the break.
Well, yesterday was a busy one at the Windows Phone 7 launch event. Over the next day we will bring you hands on videos with all the UK devices. Lets start with the big one, the HTC HD2. At 4.3 inches it is the largest of the new WP7 family and a real monster. As you will see in the video the OS has nothing unique compared to the other HTC WP7 handsets but they do have something that the other manufactures do not have, and that is an HTC hub.
Video and specs after the break and due to the reflection no taking the mickey out of my shiny head!

The image on the right, courtesy of Engadget, is a screen grab of the supposed next generation ‘Pre 2’. The French operator SFR have written on their blog about the new Pre 2. It’s unclear what exactly is happening, that SFR have announced it too early, or that it’s not the new Pre altogether, just a mix up (I hope not!) Regardless of what happened, they have mentioned some tasty specs, including an unspecified 1GHz processor coupled with 512MB of RAM running the new webOS 2.0 show. One of main complaints with the original Pre was the sometimes sluggish (and short-lived) performance and the build quality. Hopefully the new silicon inside will solve the first issue, and the grunt of HP will solve the second. The image seems very similar or even identical in terms of looks and form factor to the first Pre, but whether that’s a good thing or not is debatable.
Keep in mind that this is unconfirmed (they have only made a very general and vague announcement) and could all vanish into the land of vaporware.let’s hope not!

Looks like someone at Samsung in Russia has followed LG and leaked the Omnia 7 early! The 4-inch Super AMOLED WVGA smartphone runs the 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon QSD8250 processor with 8GB of onboard storage and a 5-megapixel autofocus camera.
There’s also WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1 and A-GPS, along with USB 2.0 and triband UMTS/HSPA (900/1900/2100). AS well as a built in FM radio the Omnia 7 is capable of recording video in 720P HD. Battery life is tipped at up to 520 minutes talktime or 390 hours standby from the 1,500mAh Li-Ion pack.
Full specs can be seen in the picture below.
