Infinity Blade is a new amazing 3D game available for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. As you will see in the video below the game centers on your character doing battle with other characters, most of who are rather scary looking.
At £3.49 it is not the cheapest game on the iPhone but once downloaded you can use on the iPad as well for no extra cost. Is it worth the money? I should say so. The graphics and sound are fantastic and I would strongly recommend giving this one a go just for the 3D gaming experience.

A little over a week ago we started reviewing the Samsung Galaxy Tablet and so far we have been quite impressed with it. However, there are an awful lot of Android powered tablets hitting the market at the moment, from those costing under £100 to the like of the Galaxy at around £500.
We’ve looked at some of the cheaper tablets in the past and despite the bargain price tag we still didn’t think they represented value for money. So this week we’re going to take a look at something that’s more mid-range; the Huawei S7 Android tablet which comes in at just over £280. We’ll compare this to some of the other tablet devices and see how it shapes up in our review.
For now you can take a look at my unboxing video below to get a flavour.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab was announced and released a while ago but it’s been so popular that we’ve actually struggled to get our hands on one to review. However, a few days ago one arrived from Clove Technology for us to take a look at.
When initially announced the Galaxy Tab was rumoured to cost in the region of £700 which made us all wonder if Samsung had priced themselves out of the market with perhaps its closest rival, the iPad, costing significantly less. The price is now a much more reasonable £517 from Clove which makes it significantly more competitive.
We’ve given the Tab to Gareth to review as he’s recently been playing with Android tablets from Archos so thought it would be good to get his opinion and comparison. His review will be with us later next week but for now you can check out my unboxing video below.
Every so often I come across a game that is so addictive it is hard to put down. Ragdoll Blaster 2 is one of those very games.
Although the aim of the game is essentially to shoot ragdolls at a target it is not quite that simple and as the levels get harder you will find yourself having to use your brain more and more to figure out how to hit the target.
If you own an iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad I would highly recommend giving this one a go.
Take a look at the demo video below and see if you agree with me.
Just a few months ago Huawei launched the IDEOS. At the time it was the first Android handset to ship with 2.2 FROYO and there was a lot of interest in the little device. However, as much as we liked the IDEOS and the value for money it represented we felt that it was slightly on the small side. Indeed if the feedback we received is anything to go by many of you had the same thoughts.
So here we have the newer Huawei U8800 which is a bigger handset, also offering Android 2.2, and similar features to the IDEOS but with a 3.8 WVGA display. Could be just what we need, a high-spec, low-cost Android device on the market just in time for Christmas. It’s also the first handset to feature HSPA+!
Note that I has some issues with the WiFi on the U8800 that we have in for review BUT I should point out that we are literally one of the first sites to have the device and that it’s not yet running final retail ROM and as such don’t panic about the WiFi!
Check it out after the break:
Hopefully you saw our first Motorola Defy video where we put the device through its paces with some scratch and water tests. Clove have now kindly sent us the full retail version so I thought we had better show you what you get in the box.
Our review unit is now with our man Vince so expect the full review in the next week or two.
See the video after the break along with a quick run down of the Defy’s specification:
The X8 is the latest in the Xperia range and is the X10’s little brother. Sporting a 3 inch touch screen the Xperia X8 does run Android but at the moment it is only version 1.6 which may influence sales figures to be honest. That said, the X8 does come with some pretty nice specs and it both looks and feels good in the hand.
Once again Sony Ericsson have included their own user interface. Is this a good thing? I think that comes down to personal preference but what I will say is that it makes for an easy user experience which non phone geeks will love.
We will have a full review of the device coming soon but in the meantime you can enjoy the unboxing video below.
I’m sure you saw our first unboxing video of the BlackBerry Bold 9780. Well that one was just a review device which came in its own special box so now I have the retail version I thought i had better show you what you get with it as there are a few things different.
You can see the video after the break and if you are thinking of getting the BlackBerry 9780 you may want to check out our full review to see what we thought of it.
The vent mount from Clingo is a novel and unique new solution to car mounting. Featuring a reusable sticky pad the Clingo can be used to mount practically any smartphone, PDA or sat-nav device. The ball and socket joint provide 360 degree tilt viewing angles so you can find the perfect position to suit your driving style. Incredibly easy to install – the Clingo Vent Mount will just clip to practically any car air conditioning vent
The unique sticky pad provides the ability to securely fix a unit to the mount whilst allowing speedy removal – leaving absolutely no residue on the back of your device. The design means you can even keep your phone in its protective case, so unlike other model specific mounts you don’t have to take the case on and off every time you make a journey.
After the break you can see a quick demonstration of the Clingo vent mount in action.
The Motorola Defy will not be their biggest selling device by a long way but it does offer some fantastic features that the other phones do not and therefore may be the perfect device for certain people.
What are these things you may ask. Well, it is water resistant, dust proof, shock resistant and scratch proof thanks to Gorilla glass. Maybe the right phone for someone who is either prone to dropping their phone or someone in a manual job such as construction.
Running Android 2.1 the Defy has pretty good specs although not a contender as flagship device. That said, it will do pretty much everything that the high end phones from other manufactures will do.
Check out the demo video below and see if the Defy survives the scratch and water tests!
