BlackBerry 6 on BlackBerry 9700 – Video

blackberry_logo

BGR have just released a much welcomed video of BlackBerry 6 running on the Bold 9700. As you will see the new OS seems to run beautifully and BRG even says that some features are running better here on the 9700 than they are on the Torch 9800!

I can only presume that a release of the new OS is imminent and I blooming well hope so as I am gagging to get it on my BlackBerry.

Come on RIM. Give it to us!

OtterBox iPhone 4 Defender Case unboxing video

otterbox front

OtterBox have been around since 1998 and they specialise in producing rugged, durable, tough as can be mobile phone cases.

The case for the iPhone 4 for has kindly been sent to us by Clove who stock a range of OtterBox cases for various handsets.

As you will see in the video, the case will not be for everyone as it is quite chunky but if you do a job where your iPhone 4 is prone to knocks and drops then this is the best solution I have seen to date.

Made from three separate parts the OtterBox Defender case ensures the best possible protection for your iPhone 4. Wearing the case will guarantee your iPhone 4 remains scratch free.

Nokia C6 mega unboxing video

Nokia C6 mega unboxing videoAs you are probably aware, if you have been paying attention, Matt was invited by Nokia to attend a secret event last night in London. Led across London by two lovely ladies (and a decent bloke) from WOMworld he was taken to the Millennium bridge for possibly the largest unboxing video ever!

This was part of the #Nokiabox experience that Matt and just seven other bloggers have been part of worldwide. (Yes, he does feel quite honoured!)

Ever wondered what Matt looks like in front of the camera for a change? Have a look at the video below so see him and the Nokia C6 in action.

Not quite as detailed as our normal unboxing videos, Matt wasn’t expecting it, but just a bit of fun. We will do a ‘normal’ unboxing video to give you a little more in depth info on the device so keep your eyes peeled over the next few days.

Xbox Live games arrive for Windows Phone 7

An impressive list of Xbox Live titles for Windows Phone7 has emerged for the launch of Microsoft’s new mobile operating system. Totally 63 there is a selection of classics, recent hits and new titles to cater for all tastes. This will certainly entice an everyday gamer who’s debating going Apple and isn’t terribly impressed by Android, more over there is a bit of a gap in the market for a gaming platform to rival Apple and Nintendo’s DS now the PSP is showing it’s age. Could this be a great new gaming platform? Check the list after the break.

BlackBerry Bold 9650 Running OS 6

blackberry_6

We have now seen plenty of videos of BlackBerry 6 running on the BlackBerry Torch but what we have not seen much of, if al all, is it on a non touch screen device. The guys at bbleaks have released a video of OS6 running on a Bold 9650. Although we don’t have this device here in the UK I am hoping the experience will be much the same on the devices that will be eligible for an OS upgrade.

Enjoy the video after the break.

Motorola Milestone XT720 Review

XT720-main The introduction of the original Milestone brought about Motorola’s resurrection in the mobile world, and now they’re back with their second Milestone, the XT720, to market here in Europe. Ever since that first iteration, Motorola have stuck with Android and to great success so far. It was a pretty large and imposing phone with its sharp edges and lines, and the XT720 is no different. It’s still large and imposing though Motorola have made some changes – the most noteworthy being that they’ve ditched that sliding qwerty in favour of a slimmer slate design, and adding a stand-out camera.

On paper, this really is a Milestone for Motorola as it’s the first Android phone that truly takes image snapping seriously with its proper xenon flash. It may look all well and good on paper, but is the second Milestone in Motorola’s comeback significant enough to cement their place back in the industry?

There’s only one way to find out!

Archos 3cam Vision unboxing video

archos3camv_intro Archos have a long history of producing portable media players. In the past these have been chunky devices with built-in hard drives and large touch-screen displays aimed at those that want to take their video library on the go.

A while ago Archos started to expand their offering though and are now offering Internet Tablets, Netbooks and also Media Players with both their own linux based operating systems and, more recently, Android OS.

This latest product that we have on review from Archos is the 3cam Vision. It’s a small portable media player with a 3″ touchscreen display capable of playing a variety of both audio and video formats. The 3cam vision also has a slightly more unusual trick up its sleeve in that it has a built-in digital camera capable of recording video and still images.

The 3cam also has an FM radio as well as an FM transmitter which allows you to use it in-car for example and listen to your media through your car HiFi.

As always, we’re taking our time over the review and will have it live on site for you soon. For now you can see the Acrhos 3cam Vision in more detail in the unboxing video below.

#NokiaBox arrives with second message

IMG_1449Earlier this week I mentioned that I’d received a message from Nokia in the London Evening Standard. The message simply read “Big things come in small packages”.

This morning a courier arrived with another package for me, this time a small box from Nokia. When I say small I really mean tiny! Read on to see what was in the box and what my second message says…

BlackBerry Curve 3G 9300 unboxing video

BB9300

The BlackBerry Curve 3G has not changed too much compared to its predecessor, the 8520, but the big difference is the added bonus of 3G.

There are also a couple of physical changes. The 9300 now has a chrome bezel similar to the 9700 and its battery cover is also new. No longer smooth but now with a kind of mottled affect.

With the UK carriers yet to announce which if them will sell the 9300 we are still in the dark when it comes to pricing but in the meantime we will crack on with the review.

Check out the unboxing video below.
