It’s that time again when I find an iPhone game that really gets me addicted. Real Racing 2 has been out a couple of months or so and although quite expensive (£5.99) it is well worth the money.
I have the original Real Racing on my iPad and still play it but now the new version is out for the iPhone I decided I had to part with my money as I knew it would be excellent.
I’m not going to waffle on about it any more. Check out the video demo after the break and then enjoy the game when you purchase it for yourself. I’m confident you will?
These Flip cameras have been around for a while. Their compact, no-nonsense design coupled with decent quality recording and relatively low price has made them quite popular and they are offered for sale on a wide range of stores in many countries. I’m sure this is a trend fuelled by the likes of YouTube and the rapid expansion of other social networking vehicles. You can even design your own Ultra HD now with customisable colours and even upload images to be printed on the case.
New UltraHD Family
The world’s best-selling shoot-and-share video family – the Flip Video UltraHD – now offers two new models with even more reasons to own one. For the first time, the UltraHD line offers personalization through the Flip Online Store (TheFlip.com) with thousands of designs for users to create a video camera showcasing their own personal style. Along with always-on image stabilization and newly enhanced 720p/60 fps video quality, the new Flip Video UltraHD 2 hour also features a new slimmer design that fits easily in a pocket or purse. The UltraHD 2 hour is the first Flip video camera to feature FlipPortT – a proprietary Flip-designed connector enabling new add-ons options as part of the newly announced Designed for FlipT accessory program.
Review coming up over the next week or so, for now you can check out the unbox below.
Up until now nothing could touch the Apple iPod Touch for music, video and playing games but now that Samsung has released the Galaxy Player 50 Apple may have a bit of competition. Running Android 2.1 the Galaxy Player is not dissimilar from the Galaxy S in terms of look and its user interface. With many Apple haters out there this could well be very nice alternative. At £149.99 the Galaxy Player is cheaper than the iPod Touch 4th generation but it does lack a few features that the iPod has. It does however have a few that the iPod does not have.
Check out the unboxing video below and watch out for the full review coming soon.
I have to be honest and say that OCOSMOS Co. is not a name that I am familiar with but we just heard of the companies latest product; the OCS9 Tablet PC, designed to ‘revolutionise the professional and gaming PC markets’.
OCOSMOS describe the product as being the “World’s Only Tablet with Detachable Controller, Stylus Stand, Pouch and OMOS Key Brings High-End PC Power and Uniquely Intuitive Interface to Gamers and Office Workers”
You can find the full press release below, it certainly looks interesting enough with it’s 9″ multitouch capacitive display, front and rear cameras and running Windows 7. Just curious that the screen is described as widescreen but with a resolution of 1024×768 as the resolution is more like 4:3 than 16:9?
We love our iPad’s and we love playing with new accessories for them. Today the latest accessory from Zagg arrived. In fact it’s two in one.
First of all it’s a hard aluminium case that matches the iPad design and offers a great deal of protection. while only adding a small amount of weight and only about 6mm to the overall thickness.
This Zaggmate is unique though in that it has an embedded Bluetooth keyboard and iPad stand. Simple remove the iPad from the case and stand it either portrait or landscape and turn on the keyboard and you’ve got yourself a mini-laptop! 🙂
Check out the unboxing and demo video below while I finish up the review!

Kevin from crackberry.com was lucky enough to get a demo of the new BlackBerry PlayBook yesterday from Ryan Bidan, who is the Sr. Product Manager on the BlackBerry PlayBook team for RIM.
The video gives us another insight into the wonderful world of the PlayBook and as Ryan confirms this beauty is still going to be available in Quarter one this year – Hooray!
See the video and also a reminder of the PlayBooks specs after the break:
This week it’s CES, and Google have finally come out after endless rumours about the next Android release, Honeycomb 3.0. The major bite of news is that it will only be for tablets – there won’t be a phone, even the Nexus series, that will run 3.0. Phones will stick with Gingerbread and skip to the next release.
Honeycomb’s UI has been reworked for larger screen and higher resolution tablet devices which is good considering that previous versions of Android haven’t really been the most intuitive for use on tablets. Only the browser and Gmail app remain somewhat familiar, with the UI getting a needed overhaul. Hopefully this will mean there will be less compatibility issues that have shown with the same operating system on both phones and tablets, making the overall experience (as well as the UI) much more tablet friendly. Now I’m sure I’m not the only one expecting awesome iPad competitors!
Check out the video of Honeycomb in action after the break.
Research in Motion have released another video demonstrating the capabilities of the forthcoming BlackBerry Playbook. This video concentrates on media and shows you how smoothly the device handles Flash and HTML5 based sites.
As you will see, using Facebook is a wonderful experience using the PlayBook as you can play games without leaving the site and therefore still being able to chat with your online friends.
See the video after the break and please let us know what you think in the forum.
As you know, I love unboxing new things and today in this video I’m looking at a few new handsets that are a bit more out of the ordinary. When I tell you that they only have a 2MP camera, have their own operating systems and 2″ screens you might think that I’m looking at phones from a few years back but in fact these JBCB Toughphones are brand new. They may seem a little more basic than your average phone on the market but there is a reason; each of these phones is designed to be water and dust resistant as well as being ruggedised. Ideal for those in the construction industry or those working around water and other potential hazards.
So take a look at the video below where I have a look at each of the handsets in the Toughphone range.
