Parrot MINIKIT Smart

The Parrot MINIKIT Smart is a Bluetooth hands-free kit with a docking bay designed for all Smartphones, whatever their size (from 56mm to 70mm width).

The connection via Bluetooth between the two peripherals allows the MINIKIT Smart to simultaneously manage hands-free conversation and the navigation applications available on Smartphones. Calls and GPS guidance will go through the 2W speaker integrated in the MINIKIT Smart.

Depending on the capability of each Smartphone, the MINIKIT Smart could pause the GPS functions, and restart them once the conversation ends.

MINIKIT Smart is compatible with all navigation software available (free or paid) and all operating systems: Android, iOS, Windows Mobile, Blackberry, Symbian, Bada. 

Further, to always be reachable without losing your way, even for long trips, the MINIKIT Smart can recharge the Smartphone thanks to one of the USB cables included in the box. (Micro USB, Mini USB, Apple).

BlackBerry Bold 9780 announced

Palm Pre 2 officially announced

HP have today announced the Palm Pre 2 and as we suspected the specs include a 1GHz processor, 5MP camera, 512MB of RAM and webOS 2.0.

The HTC Windows Phone 7 collection

As I am sure you are aware, today sees the official announcement of Windows Phone 7 from Microsoft. As this post goes live I will be at the event to get the low down and see what’s what.

However last week I was lucky enough to get a preview of the HTC devices and have a quick hands on and I must say they all seemed jolly nice.

On to the juicy bits. Below you will find the details of them all and some photos. I am told that the HTC HD7 Pro will not be launched here in the UK straight away but will be here shortly and open to all carriers. The HTC 7 Surround will be a AT&T exclusive in the USA and the other three will be UK carrier exclusives.

11th October 2010, London: Orange today took its place as the number one destination for Smartphones, announcing the delivery of two new handsets based on Microsoft’s latest mobile operating platform, Windows Phone 7.

As Microsoft’s key UK partner, the move builds on the long-standing relationship between the two companies and sees Orange exclusively offer UK customers the flagship HTC 7 Mozart, as well as range the stylish Samsung Omnia 7 device across all its retail channels later this month.

MSN Music to integrate with Zune in UK

Microsoft today announced plans to integrate MSN Music with Zune, Microsoft’s digital entertainment service.

There is a natural synergy between MSN Music and Zune. MSN Music will create links in its music editorial to related content on Zune.net, giving users quick and easy access to the music they care about in the Zune Marketplace.

On Zune.net users will be able to browse the Zune Marketplace and purchase music from a 100% MP3 catalogue or use a Zune Pass music subscription to stream music directly through their Internet browser.

Sony Ericsson announce LiveView

Today sees the announcement of the Sony Ericsson LiveView.
