Clove HTC extUSB Stereo Headset Adapter

We get questions about HTC’s extUSB sockets and headphone adapters all the time so this morning we have another adapter to tell you about.

Our friends over at Clove Technology are selling this little cable to convert the HTC extUSB socket to support any 3.5mm stereo headphones.

HTC announce Dopod WM6 upgrades

After a few months delay HTC has finally started rolling out the Windows Mobile 6 upgrades that they promised, initially to Dopod customers.

Well lookey what HTC has cooked up for us, a little more Windows Mobile 6 upgrade info for those Dopod owners weary of the oh-so-long in the tooth Windows Mobile 5. Starting July 6th with the Dopod D810 (HTC P3600), then the 838Pro (HTC TyTn) on the 9th, with the U1000 (HTC Advantage) and P800w (P3300) closing out the giving on the 11th and 13th. So, for all you official Dopod owners out there, all you need to do is hit the site, sign up with your device serial number and get at the goods. Don’t forget to drop us a line and let us know how those upgrades go.

A visit to the HTC Asia website will reveal the release dates of the forthcoming upgrades.

Orange France release SPV C200

Orange France have just unveiled a new Windows Mobile Smartphone called SPV C200.

This is the first SPV branded device not to be manufactured by HTC but it looks like the Amoi E72 Windows Mobile Smartphone announced late last year.

Simple and complete, Orange SPV C200 is Smartphone under OS Windows Mobile 5.0 which has many organization and communication functions. It allows the synchronization of the contacts, the diary, the tasks and e-mail in high mobile flow thanks to technology EDGE. HTC Kaiser preorder from Clove

Everyone has been talking about the HTC Kaiser (HTC P4550) for months now and I think I would as far as to say that it is the most eagerly awaited Windows Mobile device ever! It’s certainly one of the most discussed here on tracyandmatt.

The question on everyone’s lips is “When will the HTC Kaiser be launched?”. While we don’t know the exact date just yet, we must be getting close. HTC P6300 goes on sale

The new HTC P6300, formerly known as the HTC Panda, has just gone on sale over at eXpansys.

The HTC P6300 is a return to the classic HTC styling found on the HTC Himalaya and Alpine devices from a few years ago. For those prefering a phone with a larger display the P6300 features a 3.5″ touch screen. It also has 256Mb ROM and 128Mb ram coupled with a decent 400MHz CPU.

T-Mobile USA Launches HotSpot @Home service

T-Mobile USA has just launched its “HotSpot @Home” hybrid GSM / WiFi calling service throughout the US.

The GSM to WiFi crossover is a first among the US’ big four carriers, @Home relies on traditional cell airwaves out in the field but switches seamlessly to WiFi when it gets within range of a T-Mobile hotspot or any other wireless router you’ve configured your phone to latch onto.

For the millions of us with less-than-stellar reception in our homes, the service could be a life-saver — and even better, WiFi minutes aren’t deducted from your plan. Launch handsets are the Nokia 6086 and Samsung t409, both of which will go out the door for $49.99 on contract and include a Linksys or D-Link router — both specially designed for @Home service — for free after rebate, though any 802.11b access point should work. The service itself will run $9.99 per month on individual and $19.99 on family plans for up to five handsets.

Really hoping that T-Mobile launch this service in the UK sometime soon. Not having T-Mobile reception at home is the only thing keeping me on Orange at the moment!

HTC Kaiser spotted at MEDC Europe

As I mentioned in my previous post, Jason Langridge is currently at MEDC Europe and as well as finding a docking station for the HTC Advantage he also spotted the HTC Kaiser!

The photos look like they might be some of the first shots of what may very well be a production device.

The Kaiser is considered as the next generation of the HTC Hermes or TyTn device. It has 3G, GPS and a 3.0 Mega Pixel camera. The interesting thing about the device is the screen can be twisted forward to allow you to view the device in differing sunlight conditions as well as using the device on a table.

We’ve also heard a rumour that T-Mobile are likely to be making an announcement about the Kiaser very soon! Fingers crossed!!
