Just had a tip off that the Blackberry Bold will be out of stock at Orange in the UK for 2-3 weeks due to quality issues. We reviewed the Bold a while ago and our review model had problems with the camera not functioning at all so this is no surprise to hear. If your after a Bold be patient or risk a below par model.

It seems every other day we are seeing leaks of this device and that device but today its the turn of Sony Ericsson. The Sony Ericsson Kate is reported to have a 5MP camera and will fall in as part of the Cyber-Shot range. Looking like a mix between the K770 and the C902 the Kate is also rumoured to have UMTS, xenon flash, camera mode switch and Smile shutter feature
Again like all these leaks I have nothing more than hearsay to tell you but I will be digging and calling contacts to see what else I can find out for you.

The guys at Areamobile have just let us know that their video look at the HTC Touch HD now has English subtitles for those of us that don’t speak German. Wolfstar from Xperiancers.com has got his hands on the new Xperia X1, and has shared his thoughts on the phone. Yet another security flaw in the iPhone’s software had been found, and while it’s probably not particularly harmful to the majority of users, it is pretty interesting. Karl Kraft posted the exploit on his blog, but he wasn’t the one to uncover it. No, despite his skills with a computer and knowledge of the software, he didn’t find it. Instead he says it was found by his 12-year-old son.
HTC have just confirmed via Twitter that the Touch HD will not be coming to the USA at all.
As we reported last month, Vodafone now have the Dell Inspiron Mini’s available for free when you sign up for a 24 month mobile broadband contract. The difference with this offer compared with the other free netbooks is that the actual mobile broadband does not come as a USB dongle but it is actually built into the netbook. Crackberry have unleashed a few picture of what is reputedly the Blackberry application centre. Downloading applications straight to your phone seems to be all the rage with recent Skymarket rumours and Google’s online store for Android. Have a look at the pics after the break.
Here is a little phone from Asus to be released by O2 under the Xda umbrella. It’s another Windows Mobile 6.1 device however this one will have a rather attractive undercarriage. Its something of a HTC Diamond eclipsed by the HTC Touch HD in a rather boring form factor. Look for it in November.
