Telefónica O2 UK has today announced the launch of an energy efficient universal mobile phone charger – the O2 Universal Charger. The first product of its kind to be launched by a UK network, the O2 Universal Charger is amongst the most energy efficient in the UK cutting energy consumption by as much as 70 per cent compared to standard mobile phone chargers.

Typing shortcuts have been a feature of Blackberry and Windows Mobile email for a long time, and switchers to the iPhone will be glad to have this time-saving feature again.
We told you earlier today about the Nokia N97 now we have a video showing it in action and have to say that this looks like one nice device. The screen looks like very sensitive although its is resistive and the touch looks like a much better implementation than the Nokia 5800. Nokia World 2008 is taking place this week in Barcelona, Spain and the event kicked off with the keynote announcing the Nokia N97 multimedia computer. The Nokia N97 brings a QWERTY keyboard and touch screen to the Nseries or you could say it brings a phone and S60 to the Nokia Internet Tablet. The Nokia promotional materials state, “Desktop.Laptop.Pocket” as they bring you a device with a 3.5 inch touch screen display (640×360 pixels resolution) that slides up and at an angle (similar to the AT&T Tilt) to reveal a full 3-row QWERTY keyboard and directional pad. Mobility Today have taken a video look at the Mophie JuicePack which provides extra charge for your iPhone when you are away from a power point, it delivers a nice all in one enclosure too. The JuicePack does have a shortfall for those who want the ultra protection since the entire top of the phone is exposed. Orange has achieved the number one position in customer experience in the mobile broadband market according to an in-depth report commissioned by independent research and consulting organisation, YouGov. The report highlights that Orange has bolstered its customer satisfaction ratings, winning customers over with its outstanding network performance. Specific emphasis is placed on Orange network reliability at any point during the day or night, its network coverage reach, and its ability to deliver a continuous mobile broadband connection. After the announcement laid out by Tom Alexander, Orange is also identified as being the most improved network operator currently in the market.
