Samsung i7500 Galaxy with Android on o2

Thanks to the guys at TechRadar we can now confirm that the i7500 Galaxy will be going to o2.

Samsung_I7500_Android-728-75

O2 has confirmed to TechRadar that it will be bringing Samsung’s first Android handset, the i7500 Galaxy, to the UK.

The new phone, which first appeared in the July issue of the network’s catalogue under the ‘coming soon’ section, will be hitting the shops in July.

Although there’s no word on whether O2 will be stocking the i7500 Galaxy exclusively, it’s yet another phone in the stable for a network that already has the iPhone 3G S on a multi-year exclusive deal, and apparently the Palm Pre and Toshiba TG01 coming soon.

Best specc’ed Android yet

The Samsung i7500 Galaxy phone obviously comes with the 1.5 Cupcake update, a 5MP camera with flash and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

It also packs 8GB of internal memory as well as microSD slot for expansion, all in a 11.9mm frame, making it the thinnest Android phone on the market when it lands.

O2 already has a 27 per cent share of the market in the UK, and with the rumoured stable of phones it has for the coming summer, it seems it will snatch even more as consumers flock to get the latest and greatest smartphones.

It should prove interesting to see this handset in action as its up against the current market leader for Android, HTC.

Orange today announced that the world’s first Touchscreen Watch Phone will hit UK stores in August. The LG Touchscreen Watch Phone will be one of several new innovative ‘future phones’ Orange will be ranging over the next 18 months, chosen specifically for their unique digital lifestyle benefits that allow users to make the most from the latest shifts in modern technology.

Available from Orange for a limited time period, the Watch Phone will be available at an exclusive price point on Orange pay as you go. The device heralds a new focus from Orange, to showcase the latest innovative, original, and high-end multimedia devices on the market, with at least three new market-leading devices to be unveiled by the end of the year.

"The Watch Phone is the first of these devices, all focused on bringing a 21st-century experience to our 21st century customers.

“Over time we also intend to match the power of these devices with bespoke multimedia packages, driving even more inspirational conversations and deeper connections for our customers.”

Mobile Multimedia

Orange has already begun integrating multimedia services into its animal packages, with the company now offering inclusive ‘sat nav’, mobile internet and email services on select pay-monthly price plans.

Furthermore, recent developments in device advancements, matched with the creation of price plans designed for multimedia usage have helped make it easier for consumers to access the content they want when on the move. On average 3.25 million monthly users now use Orange World (Orange’s mobile internet portal) and over one million Orange customers use their handset to access social networks every month.

I personally do not know what to make of this, I guess I would be intrigued to have a look and test it to make my mind up for sure. I’ll get onto Orange and see if they would be willing to send us one to review.

HTC Hero About To Fly Into The US

Yes folks, you heard it right. Even though nothing was mentioned at the press release a few days ago the now very famous HTC Hero has been spotted on the FCC website today. Covering WCDMA on Bands II and V (1900 and 850MHz) it would suggest that it will be going to AT&T subscribers as this is what they would need to flip the switch on high-speed data, however we’re not sure if this negates rumours that the Hero would be going to Sprint instead.

Either way it don’t really matter but one thing is for sure, Americans will now be well chuffed.

Pink iPhone 3Gs Appears

No ladies, I’m really sorry but this is not an intentional colour release by Apple, its the colour the phone turns (or glows) due to an overheating problem.

hot iPhone
A new meaning to iPhone’s are HOT

Its certainly not the first time iPhones have had their problems with overheating but this is certainly new in the fact that the white version gives a nice warm plink glow.
