The Orange San Francisco is the latest budget handset from the network. We recently reviewed the Samsung Galaxy Apollo which was a bargain at £150 and now we have the San Francisco at a mere £99!
The device is actually made by ZTE and their version is called the Blade. As you will see below you get fantastic specs for £99 and this one could well be bargain of the year.
Interested in the device? Then read on for an insight into what comes standard on the device and a few extra apps you may want to download.
For the first time ever Apple have sold more iPhones in Q3 than RIM has sold BlackBerry smartphones, according to Strategy Analytics. In fact 20% more which is quite a jump.
Nokia are clearly still number one worldwide but could Apple make the gap even smaller? With rumors rife that Verizon Wireless will release a CDMA iPhone sometime soon Apples sales will only grow and grow.
Come on RIM. We need something special from you and I’m not talking about a tablet with a funny name. We need a super BlackBerry, please.

I am sure you saw our HTC 7 Mozart unboxing video earlier this week. In the video you would of heard me say that I was going to record a further demo video once I had become a little more familiar with the device and customized it a wee bit.
Well, I have done that now and the video is below. I am still no expert with Windows Phone 7 so please don’t call me a silly sausage but I hope this gives you a slightly better insight into the operating system.

HP have today announced the Palm Pre 2 and as we suspected the specs include a 1GHz processor, 5MP camera, 512MB of RAM and webOS 2.0.
Here is the official word from HP:
HP Introduces webOS 2.0, the Next Generation of Mobile Innovation Coming first on new Palm Pre 2 in France, the United States and Canada
PALO ALTO, Calif., Oct. 19, 2010 – HP today announced HP webOS 2.0, the most significant update to the platform since its launch in 2009 and a substantial step in HP’s vision to transform how people think, feel and connect.
This is the one that Android fans have been dying to get their hands on, the HTC Desire HD.
The 4.3 inch, 1GHz, Froyo bad boy of the Android world has had one or two delays with its launch but now that we have a review device this means the final ROM is complete and I would imagine that you will be able to get your own one real soon.
With a very similar shell to that of the HTC HD2 the Desire HD gives us that great big screen but with some added specs such as the 8 megapixel camera, 720P HD video recording and best of all Android 2.2. Many people said after the HD2 was released that they wished they could have it running Android. The Americans were first to get an Android device from HTC of this size – the EVO. Now it is our turn.
Let the Android wars commence.
Enjoy the unboxing video below.
Hot of the press this afternoon I have discovered that the Dell Venue Pro will indeed be available to buy sim free here in the UK this year. Clove have been told to expect stock in early November which is a turn up for the books as a lady from Dell told me it would not be in the UK this year.
We will of course have an unboxing video and full review as soon as the device arrives with us. In the meantime if you did not see my hands on video at the Windows Phone launch event you can do so by clicking here.
Please head on over to Clove for more info on the device or look at the pics after the break.
The HTC 7 Mozart from Orange is the first Windows Phone 7 device to arrive at the tracyandmatt camp and what a pleasant surprise it was. Out of all the WP7 handsets I used last week at the launch the Mozart is the one I was looking forward too most, as I felt that if I was going to get one it would probably be this one. Size wise it is pretty much on par with my iPhone and it just feels good in the hand.
Enough of my views. Check out the unboxing video below and watch out for the full review in the next week or two.
We wont be seeing this one anytime soon here in the UK, if at all. The BlackBerry style is a CDMA device and will be exclusive to Sprint. An acquired taste this one I think.
Over in the States 100 million people use a flip phone so it kind of makes sense for RIM to come up with this design which is there first BlackBerry flip with a full QWERTY on board. The Style is also the first CDMA device to launch with BlackBerry 6.
The BlackBerry Style rocks the 5 megapixel camera found in the Torch and also has GPS and Wi-Fi. 512MB of internal memory are there to power BlackBerry 6 and a 8GB memory card comes in the box for media. You also get a choice of two colours – Steel Gray and Royal Purple.
I would love to get my hands on one of these but I fear that will not happen.
