Here is a game that might turn some heads. The iPhone will be blessed with a version of one of the bigger games in the near future. Kotaku have some nice images of a rather impressive environment and an interesting control method:
"Apparently the game will use gesture-based touching to activate force powers, such as drawing a lightning bolt to activate force lightning."
This takes me back. Not the game but the hero, Larry Laffer. I could resist taking a stab at playing this new game for the Windows Mobile. Whilst the iPhone is receiving Super Monkey Ball and Crash Bandicoot we Windows users get to sit back and harass, leer at and use cheesy lines on women. Its all done in the best/worst possible taste with the emphesis on sleaze. Larry is an icon of MS Dos and Windows 3.1. It seems only fitting that our misogynistic come to Windows Mobile and in a pretty good looking game too.

Pocketnow have pointed us in the direction of the Business Applications Showcase over at the Windows Mobile Applications Store. It’s really sounds like a great resource but I don’t think I’ll be going there for a long time until it becomes a little more user friendly. Also this will give time for content to be updated. Its would also be swell if the Mobile App store worked on my mobile device.
PMP Today has a picture of the Meizu M8. It’s an interesting looking phone and some might even call it iPhone-esq
The Meizu M8 has had another appearance at the Meizu forum. This new photo submitted by Meizu CE Jack Wong looks like the other leaked photos we’ve seen in the past. Hardware-wise, it doesn’t look much different than this M8 miniOne displayed on Alibaba. The biggest news on this photo leak is the browser. We have no idea what browser it is but it’s pretty neat.

Despite a rather luke warm critical reception the HTC Diamond has managed to shift a rather respectable amount of units around the world. In the UK it is only available on two networks thus far and the US GSM version slated for the Christmas Holiday this number can only go up. The appeal of the Diamond cannot be questioned. It is a great rival to the iPhone even if it hit the ground limping.

Realwire have a fun article about the usage of people personal technology:
The exclusive survey, conducted by igizmomag.co.uk, into the gadget habits of British people has found that Brits often exhibit possessive, rude or downright peculiar behaviour when it comes to using their mobile phones and favourite gadgets, including over a third of people who admit to using their phone whilst on the lav!
Apple have moved swiftly to upgrade the buggy 2.0 firmware that was pre-installed on the iPhone 3G. The new update is version 2.01 and is reported to speed up the sync process, fix screen lag problems and generally make the device more stable. To update just plug your iPhone into iTunes and hit check for updates and away you go. This update is for both versions of the iPhone but as usual if your iPhone has been jailbroken do not update till you hear it is ok to do so.
Steve Trotto has posted a video looking at the Elan form case from Griffin for the iPhone. We have the video after the break.
Over at Problogger they have posted an excellent guide for the mobile blogger. The article is a very well written list of what to know in blogging, what to do and most importantly how to do. They have even taken the time to point out some of the shortcomings of the iPhone when it comes to the Blog.
In a rather bold statement game wizard John Carmack believes the iPhone to more powerful than the PSP and DS combined, even going as far to say its almost as strong as the PS2 and Xbox on their original release. Does the iPhone have earth shatter mobile power locked inside it? Maybe worth a look when they unlock this raw power to play … scroll through contacts*.
