HTC Diamond Rom Update

HTC today released another Rom update for the HTC Diamond 1.37.401.3 . The Rom is available to download from the HTC Club website where registration and a valid HTC device serial number is required. The Rom is supposed to update the Connection Wizard, Enlarge Start Menu, TouchFlo 3D, Volume Control, XT9, Youtube and a few other minor tweaks. We will test it out as soon as it is downloaded and installed and see what we think.

Well it seems HTC have pulled the Rom already as it has now vanished as fast as it appeared, but you can download it from rapidshare here

Orange reduced roaming rates

Orange have reacted to T-Mobile and O2’s recent announcements of price cuts for roaming charges. Orange today announced significant changes to its Orange Travel portfolio which makes voice and data roaming for consumer and business customers simpler, more transparent and better value than ever before. The offers will be made available throughout the Summer to give Orange customers greater choice and value for their Summer holiday or business needs.

Youtube on a Windows Mobile with ease?

Youtube on a Windows Mobile is always been something of an art to get working. Hopefully no more if you follow this link. XDA developers has done it again with Youtubeplay.

I’ll be testing this over the next few days and will let you know if its worth going after.

HTC Diamond extended battery arrives

Tracy and Matt have the scoop on the extended battery for the Diamond being sold through Expansys. Its £41, 1350 mAH and comes with a new back cover. No mention if it turns the Diamond into a fatty.

Treo 800w spec sheet revealed

Engadget Mobile has the spec sheet for the Treo 800w. Most seem to be stifling a yawn to this give the Samsung SGH i780 has been there and done that a couple of months before. However you look at it a Treo has always been one step backwards of the cutting edge but always solid and reliable.

The Treo 800w is playing its cards sensibly yet again breaking no new ground. I’m hoping the MMS concern is merely something Sprint is introducing, not across the board. Also, this model seems to do away with the 2.5mm headphone jack, much like HTC’s one USB connector for all connections.
