HTC Diamond Vodafone Rom update 1.93

Vodafone have just released a firmware upgrade for their version of the HTC Diamond. Hats off to Vodafone as it has always been a major gripe that the networks take forever to issue software upgrade for devices but this definitely seems to be improving. There is no mention of what has been changed in the firmware but we are guessing that it will be improvements in the device speed especially using the TouchFlo UI. Link and details after the break.

New version 1.1 of Winterface announced

VITO Technology releases a new version of one of its best-sellers – Winterface. Winterface is a Windows Mobile shell that helps you to organize applications and settings of your PocketPC the way you like. The start gesture “rainbow” was replaced in the new version by upside down tick. Moreover, it has become possible to add to the main screen not only applications, settings and contacts but also any files on your Pocket PC. Besides, calendar and tasks now can notify you about upcoming events, appointments and tasks. Minor bugs have been also fixed.

MobileChat in the App Store

I have been waiting for this one, as a former Windows Mobile user I have been using Windows Live Messenger for years to keep in touch with friends and family and it has been sorely missed on the iPhone Platform. HTC Dream pre-ordering Sept 17th Stateside

Recently HTC has been releasing their products in the States after everywhere else. The news that T-Mobile US will be taking pre-orders raise a few questions. US first? If not US first, dates for EU and Asia?

Boy Genius Reports "The device will reportedly cost $150 for current T-Mobile subscribers, though it could sell for as much as $399 when it goes on sale to the general public some time later. The phone itself will be code-named G1, and should resemble the device we saw in the video a couple days back"

iPaq 910 reviews

More iPAQ 910 reviews have surfaced, courtesy of PocketPCSoft.net and MobileTechReview, and they seem to confirm what others have said in the past: it’s a winner. If you’re after a solid, no-frills device, this looks like the one to get.
