An Alabama woman has filed a class-action lawsuit against Apple over reception and speed problems with its iPhone 3G. Birmingham resident Jessica Alena Smith purchased an iPhone 3G in July after numerous advertisements touted the device’s increased speeds. "One could barely turn on the television without hearing that the new iPhone 3G was ‘twice as fast for half the price,’" according to the suit.
Pocket PC Thoughts have got their hands on the latest Glofiish device the v900. In case you forgot this is a Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional device with Samsung’s new-ish S3C6400 CPU at 533MHz, 128MB RAM, 256MB ROM, a microSDHC slot, an accelerometer, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, an FM tuner, an FM transmitter, TV-out, a 3.0-megapixel auto-focus camera with flash, and a gorgeous VGA touch screen that isn’t recessed. Ian Dixon from The Digital Lifestyle has broken some great news if your a Windows Media Center user. There will shortly be an application available through the iTunes store called Intelliremote which will control Windows Media Center from an iPhone or a iPod Touch. So if you have either devices you may as well make use of it as a remote for Media Center. The application will be available very soon from the iPhone AppStore and is free to existing Intelliremote PC application users.
Engadget have gotten their hands on the Palm Treo Pro/Treo 850w and pulled the box asunder. Its a great looking phone with a little muscle under the cover.
They haven’t added any info on how it handles but rest asured the next few days will be interesting.
Vodafone are now showing the HTC Touch Pro as coming soon in their business section with a launch date of this month. The HTC Touch Pro has all the elegance and magic of the HTC Touch Diamond and adds a five row QWERTY keyboard for the ‘heavy messaging’ user. The HTC Touch Pro also comes with added flexibility of a MicroSD slot, which when combined with the optional accessory of the TV out cable means that the device can swap between slide presentations, music library, video player with ease. Palm today officially announced the Treo pro, Not really a great surprise but at least it is now official. As we thought it does have a 320 x 320 touch screen, HSDPA, WiFi, GPS and more importantly a 3.5mm headset jack and a massive 1500mAH battery. Well done Palm on that one. This one is destined for a Vodafone and O2 launch next month in the UK as well as Sim free version. Full specifications, PR Video and pictures after the break.
What is the one thing that iphone users brag about a lot? Multi-Touch which enables them to perform features like pinch zoom in and out. Well if this video has got anything to say about it we are going to get this feature too, well at least the HTC Diamond / Touch Pro will get something to say about it.
Over at the Appleinsider they have a quote from Mr Jobs that might calm some folks woes about their 3G iPhone crashing so frequently. "This is a known iPhone bug that is being fixed in the next software update in September," reads the one-line message from the Apple co-founder.
So you have to wait until September to have a hopefully solid iPhone experience.

Not too long ago, Proximi gave iPhone users a glimpse of how copy and paste could work on their handsets with the release of MagicPad. Unfortunately, the copy and paste functionality only went as far as the limitations of Apple’s SDK allowed; while you could copy from one MagicPad document to another, you couldn’t copy from a MagicPad document to Safari. It wasn’t exactly what iPhone users were looking for, but it was the start of something awesome.
Early this morning, Palm released a couple of official press photos of the Treo Pro along with a short video. The company didn’t reveal a whole lot of information other than the following, the Treo Pro smartphone features a one-touch Wi-Fi button, GPS, Windows Mobile 6.1 and a high-resolution flush colour touch screen.
