Seasoned tech blogger. Host of the Tech Addicts podcast.
Those “clever” guys over that CTA Digital have come up the the must have peripheral for the year, the iPhone steering wheel. You are encouraged to violently shake anyone you happen to see using this, especially in public.
Starting from today, I will no longer be writing for Mobile Tech Addicts, due to increased workload professionally and in my own personal life I can no longer find the time to write for the site which has been very frustrating for me.
Thankfully Gareth has agreed to take the reigns and take the site forward however I am sure he will be looking for help in doing this, so if anyone is interested in getting involved drop him a line at [email protected].
I would like to thank everyone for their support and especially all our friends at Clove and Superetrader and wish Gareth all the best with the site in the future, I will definitely be a subscriber.

Microsoft has confirmed in a preview of Windows Mobile 6.5 that version 7 of the mobile OS will include multi-touch and will be targeted at the same high-end market as Apple’s iPhone or most current Android phones. The company promises to the Inquirer that multi-touch will be a core feature of Windows Mobile 7 and that many of the experiences of competing phones will be "knocked in the different realm" of Microsoft’s new platform.
The time it takes to port a mobile phone number could fall according to new plans from Ofcom, the independent communications authority. Thanks to Ofcom, the UK already had shorter porting times than the majority of Europe when they were able to reduce the process from five days to two working days. But, while we have bragging rights over the vast majority of Europe, it seems two days is one two many for Ofcom’s liking with the proposed changes shortening the process to one day and potentially even as short as two hours.
On December 24, 2012, some global event will take place and some people claim that it will be a massive catastrophe. With this app you can increase your chances of surviving the 2012 event!

Diana McDonough over at Justanothergeeksite.com has written a report chronicling three days with the new Palm Pre. Better than a review it reveals the ups and downs of breaking in a new phone in daily life. If, like me, your ears prick up at Palm Pre news then you should have a read.

The stakes are high for Motorola. Many people have questioned if their bet on Android can turn the company around. I’m no Wall Street analyst, but I’m here to tell you the answer is yes.

Citrix held their iForum 2009 this week in Singapore. Among the announcements came news that Citrix was working on their Receiver application for Android. Citrix specialises in virtualization and remote access software for business. This allows a central server to deliver applications over the internet to a number of devices. Citrix Receiver is currently available for iPhone.
The bottom line is: this app sucks. Do not buy it!
ZiiLABS announced Tuesday they were launching Plaszma, their new open standards development platform. At the heart of the news was the Zii EGG StemCell Computer, a new device capable of running Android. The press release was filled with marketing fluff and hard to follow, but I have attempted to break down the top points and what this means for Android.
