There is now a translated review of the Meizu M8. It is extremely thorough and if you are not totally put off by the pigeon English translation then its worth a read. Not only does it look like the iPhone but the UI seems to be rather similar but is apparently Windows CE 6.0n albeit heavily redesigned. If this is ever released outside Asia I would imagine that there would be a great deal of confusion. That said, the device is given top marks!
If you have been holding off taking the plunge on the T-Mobile G1 phone, now could be a good time to get one. T-mobile have just sent us an email letting us now that it is now free on the lowest £30.00 per month contract. They will also throw in an 8 Gig memory card too. Full details after the break.
Telefónica O2 UK has today announced the launch of an energy efficient universal mobile phone charger – the O2 Universal Charger. The first product of its kind to be launched by a UK network, the O2 Universal Charger is amongst the most energy efficient in the UK cutting energy consumption by as much as 70 per cent compared to standard mobile phone chargers.

Former Blackberry and Windows Mobile users who have switched to the iPhone and anyone else who wants to write emails on their iPhone much faster will be glad to see the addition of “typing shortcuts” to the latest update to Wide Email, a landscape email program for the iPhone. Typing shortcuts have been a feature of Blackberry and Windows Mobile email for a long time, and switchers to the iPhone will be glad to have this time-saving feature again.
We told you earlier today about the Nokia N97 now we have a video showing it in action and have to say that this looks like one nice device. The screen looks like very sensitive although its is resistive and the touch looks like a much better implementation than the Nokia 5800. Nokia World 2008 is taking place this week in Barcelona, Spain and the event kicked off with the keynote announcing the Nokia N97 multimedia computer. The Nokia N97 brings a QWERTY keyboard and touch screen to the Nseries or you could say it brings a phone and S60 to the Nokia Internet Tablet. The Nokia promotional materials state, “Desktop.Laptop.Pocket” as they bring you a device with a 3.5 inch touch screen display (640×360 pixels resolution) that slides up and at an angle (similar to the AT&T Tilt) to reveal a full 3-row QWERTY keyboard and directional pad. Mobility Today have taken a video look at the Mophie JuicePack which provides extra charge for your iPhone when you are away from a power point, it delivers a nice all in one enclosure too. The JuicePack does have a shortfall for those who want the ultra protection since the entire top of the phone is exposed. If you are in the market for a third party power option the JuicePack is definitely one to consider, you can see the video after the break.
