As you’ll no doubt know by now, we’ve been playing with the new Nokia C6 and as part of the #NokiaBox challenge we’ve been asked to demonstrate just how fast we can tap out the message “the quick brown fox jumped over the NokiaBox”. My part of the challenge is to use the touchscreen and the numeric pad to tap out the message, EmKwan will be using the hardware QWERTY. Our times will be combined to set out entry.
So here’s my attempt:
So here we have the latest addition to the ‘Cookie’ range of mobile phones from LG, now we all know how popular the first LG Cookie was so how will the new one cope with the stiff competition out there? And can it really be better than its predecessor?
Read on to find out more.
Mobile Wi-Fi is nothing new as we have had the MiFi from Three for some time now. It is however new to Vodafone and with a beautiful sleek design their mobile WiFi will more than cater for your mobile broadband needs as it allows for multiple devices to be connected at the same time.
Is it better than the Three MiFi? I don’t know yet but we will have a full review online in the next week or two, for now check out Matt’s quick unbox below:
Here’s a look at the swanky new ARCHOS 8 home tablet. The main sell here is the digital photo frame application that also allows for web browsing and accessing web services thanks to the Android operating system.
Running Android 1.6 with some specifically written software, the device provides a little storage for photos and other media on the 4GB flash memory and an SD card slot of expanding that. There is also WiFi, 720p playback, massive codec support, built-in speakers, and a kick stand.
Matt’s had his hand on this neat little device already and has a wee video for you below:
The LaCinema Mini HD is something new to me, I was unaware of it before asked to review it however like many would be was intrigued by the promise this little black box arrived with.

Hopefully you will have seen the cool NokiaBox video that we recorded in central London. We were invited to take part in the #NokiaBox event which took place in 4 cities around the world. This ended up being on of the biggest unboxings that we’ve ever done and the first one we’ve done outside in front of an audience!
So what was in the big box? Two Nokia C6 boxes. So this here is the follow up full unboxing video of the new Nokia C6. You’ll see me take a look at the hardware before doing a little demo of some of the basic features of the handset. Over the next few weeks I will be using the reviewing the Nokia C6 and will have a full written review for you here on site. For now I hope you’ll enjoy the little video below.
That’s a big ol’ post title for what is actually a really small and neat networkable HD media player.
When you hear the name LaCie you may not immediately think of media player products, LaCie are perhaps more commonly associated with storage media and external drives. However the LaCinema Mini HD Connect is just one of a range of products from LaCie to fall in to the Media Player category.
I’ve been looking for a product like this for a while. I have a lot of films and TV shows recorded on my Mac and wanted a way to watch them on my large screen TV. I’ve considered Apple TV but that’s quite an expensive solution. The LaCinema Mini HD Connect is about ah third of the cost of the Apple product but can it perform? You’ll have to wait a while for our full review to find out but for now you can check out the brief unboxing video below.
Can you believe that another week is almost over? This week we have another four top items from eXpansys. You’ll also find some great deals and regular down-to-earth prices
Check out the top 4 after the break:
Well after a few weeks of teasing from Nokia and several cryptic messages later I’m in London and on my way to start my #NokiaBox challenge. I’ve been told where to be and at what time but still not 100% sure what I am letting myself in for! Sounds like it’ll be fun though and I’ll be reporting back as soon as I can to let you all know how it went.
Any more speculation?
