Hand-held lie detector running Windows Mobile
Gareth | July 9, 2008 |
The Pentagon will issue hand-held lie detectors this month to U.S. Army soldiers in Afghanistan, pushing to the battlefront a century-old debate over the accuracy of the polygraph. The Defense Department says the portable device isn’t perfect, but is accurate enough to save American lives by screening local police officers, interpreters and allied forces for […]

iPhone 3G fever sweeping the world
Gareth | July 9, 2008 |
Japan’s Apple fans traded sleep and comfort for the thrill of being first to buy the latest iPhone as they began queueing on Wednesday, two days before it officially goes on sale there. Some 30 people lined up in front of a Softbank Mobile store in downtown Tokyo where the iPhone will go on sale […]

Gareth | July 9, 2008 |
According to msmobiles a group of people have managed to reverse engineer the SDK to allow developers access to the tilt sensor functionality of the HTC Diamond. Why this was not available by normal routes is beyond us but never mind. Hopefully this will lead to a lot of new programs utilising this great feature […]

Walt Mossberg reviews iPhone 3G
Gareth | July 9, 2008 |
Walt Mossberg had posted a review video of his impressions of the iPhone 3G. On the whole, mostly positive about the device; he likes the form factor (which he wants to stress really hasn’t changed much), says the 3G speeds are a big improvement over EDGE, and informs us that the audio quality and phone […]

Pocketnow have posted a video glossing over the Toshiba G910. Looks like a nice phone and in comparison to everything that seems to be coming out over the next month it looks nicely unconventional.

No Diamond for Orange business customers
Gareth | July 8, 2008 |
Tracy and Matt have reported that the Diamond will not be available to business users. It isn’t suitable. Why? Battery life? Touch3D too cool? The first thing I read about the Diamond way back when was the idea that when your phone rings and The A Team theme blares out in meetings you can simply […]

iphoneportugal claim to be the first to unbox the new iPhone 3G. They have posted a few pictures showing what is in the box, they claim its the 8 gig version and by the looks of the finger prints on the new look black plastic case they must have unboxed a KFC just before shooting […]

Matt | July 8, 2008 |
I know I’ve spoken about the HTC Touch Diamond coming to Orange a lot recently but I’ve just been on the phone to my Orange business account manager and she’s informed me that the Touch Diamond will NOT be made available to business customers. She explained that the devices team at Orange have been looking […]
