In a day that news seems to be flowing from pretty much every angle of the web we see pictures of Samsung’s much better follow up to the first android based device released by them of the same name.
It seems now though that you aint no one unless your Android device packs a bit of fire with the 1GHz snapdragon processor, and well guess what? The Galaxy 2 has one too, so that must make it someone (right?). Among the other specs we can expect it to run on Android 2.1, have a 3.7 inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, 3.5mm headphone jack, 5 MP camera and 32GB of internal memory (nice!).
No details have been released as yet however it’s expected that the official word will be released at the MWC just some weeks from now (James can keep us all updated).

The developer claims in description of this app, that it is an official app of Mobile World Congress 2010 but we have trouble believing him, because it is not mentioned on the official website of this magnificent event.
Furthermore this app sucks: when we have found particular company, then it shows a map:
It seems like the HTC HD2 is a dark horse. Sitting in the back of the phone is an extra 128 MB of RAM that is completely unused.
How do you get this extra RAM then? Well not having one I haven’t tested it, but the guys over at XDA Developers have tested it and are more than willing to share how they done it too.
Tracy & Matt would like to point out that this will involve a ROM update and that backups of any data you have should be completed before undertaking an update like this. We would also like to say that we will not be held responsible for any “bricked” phones as a result of any modifications made to your handset and that modifications such as these may invalidate your warranty.

A chance for Microsoft to steal a little lime light has been rumoured and now confirmed. Windows Mobile 7 will make an appearance in a couple of weeks according to CFO Peter Klein. Conveniently this time scale falls over the period of Mobile World Congress this year.
There has been growing speculation that there will be Zune integration or possibly two different operating systems altogether over the last few weeks however, its safe to say the our wait is almost over and we will be able to put to bed all the rumours by the middle of February.

Gizmodo have taken a look at all the features of the iPad and drawn up a simple chart to compare with the rival tablets hitting the market in the coming months. Most is purely speculatory however it still gives a good idea of where these devices fail and which ones are worth your attention.
Apart from iTunes store, app store (separate app in iPhone and iPod touch), with release of iPad, Apple is releasing 3rd store: iBooks store! Interesting an app for reading and buying eBooks – called “iBooks” – looks very similar to “Classics” app:
Following (or pre-dating, whichever is factually correct) the colour change of the Nokia X6 “Comes Without Music” it’s the turn of LG to change the colour of one if it’s popular handsets.
The LG GD510 POP is being released in the amazing amount of 5 different colour variants: Silver, Pink (Yes Pink), Brown (or Bronze as I cant make it out), Purple and Black.

LG GD510 Pop Colour Variants
At the moment there has been no confirmed release date or price for the GD510 Colours however I would fully expect that they will try getting them out the door in time for Valentines day to ensure maximum sales potential.
