Here we go with another unboxing, this time we have the HTC Touch Pro2 in our hands but still the same poor quality video camera. Don’t worry we are saving up for a new HD camera but with the credit crunch and all that this is all we have for now. Anyway hope you enjoy the quick unboxing of this beautiful device, it is winging its way to our resident slide out keyboard expert Gareth as we speak for a full review in the coming days. If you have any questions about the device you can email us at [email protected] or leave them in the comments and we will answer them all. In case you missed them we have some comparison pictures which you can also see here.

Our friends over at Phandroid are reporting that a security update has been released for Android devices that have been updated with the 1.5 Cupcake update. The security flaw apparently was pretty severe (at least in concept). Basically, when 2 applications by the same author are installed on your Android Device, the operating system allows the applications to share information between those applications without requiring verification by the user. The vulnerability would allow application developers to bypass the system of inter-application signature checking, essentially gaining access from other applications NOT written by that developer.
Start talking about applications from Visa, your bank, or applications that might have other sensitive data and that is a potentially severe security flaw. This affected the following versions of Android:
The “fixed” version is listed as “1.5 CRB43? and the flaw doesn’t affect 1.0 and 1.1

Well rumour has it that Orange UK has won exclusive rights to the new Google Android phone, dubbed the HTC Hero.
HTC’s new Android phone will come with HSDPA connectivity, bluetooth, and a 3-megapixel camera and will be Orange’s first Android-powered phone.
Vodafone have already snapped up the exclusivity of the second Android powered phone, the HTC Magic, which was launched in on 1 May. The first Google Android phone, the G1, was launched exclusively by T-Mobile in October last year. The handset was also made by HTC. The HTC Hero is targeted for an August launch in the US, but a UK release date has not yet been confirmed.
Sources at HTC and Orange would neither confirm nor deny the rumour which, in my opinion, is confirmation in itself!
More news as we get it.
