You might well be looking at this and asking the question "what exactly is this". Well let me answer it for you. This is the roadmap for Nokia phones through 2008 / 20009 and there are indeed some very interesting devices mentioned in there.

Notable goodies include the "Corolla" with a 3-inch VGA display, the "Jig" landscape slider for AT&T, and the "Eitri," a monster QWERTY candybar with a 640×350 display and 5-megapixel camera.

I’m sure you will have as much fun googling everything on here as I did.

Pretty impressive leak even if I do say!

Review Trace for iPhone game

image Trace is a casual platformer where you draw your own path through levels by using the touch screen to draw platforms to navigate past obstacles to reach the goal at the end of each level. Sounds simple and on first glance that is what this game is all about simple game play and simple graphics but this game is fantastic and free too. We have all seen great looking games with fantastic visual but not enough time spent on the actual game, will this one is the opposite.

HTC Touch 3G unboxed

About 18 months ago HTC launched the HTC Touch which was something of a landmark device that finally put the HTC brand on the map. A year and a half later most people will have heard of HTC.

The original HTC Touch was a very popular device and the one the established the Touch brand. The biggest criticism of the Touch was the lack of 3G and WiFi. This was addressed in later models but the latest in the Touch genesis is the Touch 3G.

HTC MAX 4G exclusive to Yota Russia

image HTC are launching this WiMax enabled handset exclusively in Russia and we understand that Yota (the network that have commissioned the handset) are a new commercial venture and Wimax is currently being rolled out in Moscow and St Petersburg. At present it is only available within both city centres, but it is planned to available to all by the end of the year. 3G is not that good and HSDPA is no-existent in Russia. The handset itself is based on the HTC Touch HD with a few differences. Obviously no 3G, 3.2 MP camera, 8 Gig of built in storage and it is a much squarer device coming in 2mm thicker also. We have a video of it in action after the break.

HTC MAX 4G alias HTC T8290 Announced

It seems like more and more of the rumours posted here come true so not to break the habit of a lifetime we can now officially say that the HTC MAX 4G alias HTC T8290 is real and ready.

HTC MAX 4G 2

The HTC MAX 4G is a WiMAX-enabled high-end device that’s exclusive for Yota WiMAX network in Russia. The handset is simply based on an HTC Touch HD with its 3G stripped and added WiMAX support. But there are several more new goodies on board.

The MAX 4G is not as big on the multimedia front as the Touch HD, but is still impressive. The main disadvantage of the new HTC MAX 4G is the lack of 3G support, which however won’t be an issue for its Russian owners, as there is still no active 3G network in Russia.

HTC MAX 4G

Instead, they get the Mobile WiMAX. WiMax is like Wi-Fi only its coverage is much wider and can span across whole cities, however, don’t confuse it with the upcoming 4G wireless data standard which we are yet to see in action, but WiMax is a good alternative that’s already available to notebook users in various countries.

Stepping away from the WiMAX fuss, the tri-band GPRS/EDGE HTC MAX 4G differs from the HTC Touch HD by several key features. The MAX 4G has 8GB of user available memory, 3.2 MP autofocus camera, and a proximity sensor for auto screen turn-off during calls – much like on the iPhone. The weight and dimensions remain nearly the same, but the new baby is almost 2mm thicker than Touch HD.

HTC MAX 4G 3

You will also get some extra services, granted by the Yota Center, Yota Phone, Yota TV and Music, Yap-Yap, Video, etc.

HTC MAX 4G will be released exclusively for the Yota network in Russia, which is a brand under the Scartel company in the end of November. It will have a rather hefty pricetag of about 840 euros (1050 US dollars), which gets you into a two year contract but promises lots of free music and video content.

Google voice search coming to the iPhone

image According to the New Your Times, Google and Apple are about to release a new application to provide voice searching on the iPhone. Google researchers have added sophisticated voice recognition technology to the company’s search software for the Apple iPhone. Users of the free application, which Apple is expected to make available as soon as Friday through its iTunes store, can place the phone to their ear and ask virtually any question, like “Where’s the nearest Starbucks?” or “How tall is Mount Everest?” The sound is converted to a digital file and sent to Google’s servers, which try to determine the words spoken and pass them along to the Google search engine. The search results, which may be displayed in just seconds on a fast wireless network, will at times include local information, taking advantage of iPhone features that let it determine its location.
