Huawei Ascend P6 unboxing video

Huawei Ascend P6 We’ve reviewed a variety of Huawei smartphones in the past and I’m pleased to see that the build quality and design of the phones is improving nicely. In fact, the latest Ascent P6 is a fine example of what Huawei can achieve when they want to, with clean lines and minimalist design perhaps the most striking thing about the P6 is that it measures just 6.18mm thick!

Huawei have managed to achieve this thin design without compromising the the specification. In fact you’ll find a quad-core 1.5HGz CPU, 2GB RAM and 8 megapixel camera all stuffed in there.

In the video below you’ll get to see the Huawei Ascend P6 unboxed as well as a demo of some of the features followed by a benchmark. Our review will follow soon.

Huawei Ascend P1 Review

Huawei Ascend P1 I would say that by now a lot of you guys reading this review would have heard of Huawei as a smartphone manufacturer as we at tracyandmatt.co.uk have looked at and reviewed many devices in the past. So with that in mind I would also imagine that you will have heard whisperings of the Huawei Ascend P1, the company’s’ flagship smartphone? If you haven’t heard of this phone then you will have by the conclusion to this review. Huawei have certainly got some stiff competition from the likes of HTC, Samsung and now Apple with the recent announcement of the iPhone 5 (I shall reserve judgement).

So I bet you’re all wondering what is this phone all about? And also maybe how well it will stack up against the mountain of competition?

Well if you do indeed wish to find out the ins and outs then I recommend reading on… after you’ve watched Matt’s unboxing and hands on video first of course.

Huawei Ascend P1 unboxing video

Huawei Ascend P1 Until fairly recently the Huawei name was relatively unknown yet they have quickly managed to establish themselves as the smartphone manufacturer that makes some of the best value and entry-level models on the market. You’d never call them a luxury brand.

Perhaps with the launch of the Ascend P1 Huawei are looking to change things a little though as this latest launch from them combines some high-end specs with an attractive, slim design.

It features a 1.5GHz dual core processor and a stunning 4.3 Super AMOLED screen. With an 8 mega-pixel camera and high quality 5.1 Dolby sound also included. This high specification has been enclosed within an elegant slim design, which has been created for ease of use, as much as looks. It has a comfortable width of 64.8mm, making it easy to be held within in your hand.

The latest version of Android, 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) has been included. This means that you have the most up-to-date features of the Android platform, and benefit from a smooth and interactive user experience. Huawei has added a stunning 3D user interface to the Ascend P1 making it easier to navigate between applications. It also shows off the power of the 1.5GHz dual-core processor.

Check out the unboxing and demo video below to see more.

Huawei Ideos S7 Slim review

Huawei Ideos S7Huawei have been making devices for years however their name hasn’t quite hit the big time yet. If you own a 3G dongle then there is a good chance it was made by Huawei. We’ve seen a few of their phones over the years and I have even reviewed one of their tablets before, the predecessor to the Ideos S7 Slim, the S7. The S7 Slim comes to us 10 months after I attended the launch event. Should we even bother looking at this dated tablet. Well, oddly, yes!

Vodafone 858 Smart Review

Vodafone 858 Smart The Vodafone 858 Smart is an entry level Android device from the network itself. The phone is entering a seriously crowded market with competition from the Samsung Galaxy Europa and the Orange San Francisco but what sets the device from the crowd is it’s extremely competitive price of £60.

The small Huawei-made handset may be cheap but does the price offset some of the relatively poor specs or is it worth spending a little more on a higher-spec device? Read on to see!

Huawei U8800 Ideos X5 review

X5-frontChances are, if you have had a broadband dongle in the past then it may have been made by Huawei. Having built a rock solid foundation with 3G dongles over the years Huawei are sailing, full steam, into the mobile phone world. Much like HTC did, years ago. With a few phones out over the last few years, mainly rebranded by the networks to their own brand, Huawei are looking to make their name known as a phone manufacturer.

Huawei IDEOS Review

Huawei IDEOS Review I have here the most exciting review device I’ve done to date for tracyandmatt.co.uk; the Huawei IDEOS. This isn’t just any old ordinary release by the company that provided MiFi and pretty much every half decent mobile broadband dongle to date, it is the very first of very many mobile phones to ship with Android 2.2 Froyo! So as you can probably gather already I was ridiculously excited to have been given this review so I hope that I don’t disappoint.

If you really want to know more about this super exciting new handset then read on!
