MOTOACTV Review

MOTOACTV ReviewLooking to track your fitness regime? The MOTOACTV may be just what you have been looking for. Announced late in 2011 the MOTOACTV is a lightweight, wearable fitness performance tracker and smart music player in one.

There are two types of sports people I think this product is gunning for. At one end of the scale, you have the hobbyists, like me, that go running a couple of times a week and maybe enjoy a spot of cycling and the pretence of being a triathlete. Having a training aid, whether that’s an app on your phone or iPod can be a real help to keep the motivation going. I’ve personally been using Endomondo on my BlackBerry for a couple of months now and find it’s a real help in pushing me to run that little faster as the kms clock by. I have however been thinking I might upgrade so something a little more technical. Here, MOTOACTV looks to be offering a step up from the mobile app to include the possibility for heart rate monitoring and easy to upload training cycles.

At the other end of the scale you have the purists for which only the best product will do. They need measurable stats for heart rate, performance, lap times, optimum speeds and so on. The MOTOACTV here is looking to offer this functionality whilst adding the more friendly benefits of an mp3 player to boot.

Is it worth well purchase? Read on to find out my thoughts.

Following a successful launch for the iPhone in October 2011, the Eye Check by Boots Opticians app is now available for Android users to download.

The app is not designed to replace comprehensive professional eye examinations by an optometrist. It offers people a simple and accessible way to better understand the significance of looking after their vision and eye health. Ultimately, the app aims to highlight the importance to users of having regular check-ups with a qualified optometrist.

How I use my BlackBerry PlayBook on a daily basis

PlayBook_side_angle_right110419214319

This article is aimed at those who don’t currently own PlayBook and how I (a seventeen year old college student) uses his PlayBook in a daily situation.

Okay first, I’ll talk about how I use my PlayBook on a day when I’m at college; I’ll admit I use it less on one of these days as a day I don’t go to college. I’ll usually begin the day by checking my emails and Facebook and Twitter mentions all from my PlayBook. I do this with the new PIM Messages application for the emailing side of things. There is an Official Facebook application that I use to check any notifications that I may have received. Blaq is the Twitter application of my choice as it sends push notifications when open and is live and in general just feels and looks like the most Twitter application on the PlayBook.

Prada Phone by LG 3.0 unboxing video

LG-Prada-3_thumb[8] LG have quite a history of working with Prada and as the name of this one’s title suggests, it’s the third LG phone to also carry the Prada name.

You may think that these fashion phone tie-ins are all style over substance but with the new LG Prada phone that could be set to change, under the hood we have a 1GHz dual-core CPU and 1GB ram which, looking at the benchmarks, makes the phone tick along nicely.

Then there’s the 4.3″ Nova Plus display. At 480×800 pixels this may not be the highest res on the market but it’s a really clear and bright display and seems to have an ultra-white backlight.

You can see the full spec list after the video below.

How to Choose your Ideal Laser Printer

rtaImage Laser printers were once so costly that only businesses could afford to use them. With office supply stores like Ryman now selling home laser printers, even colour versions, from around the £100 mark, their popularity as a home printing option is on the increase. If you’ve decided to make the switch to laser printing, here are some of the aspects to consider before you make that purchase.
