Samsung I9000 Galaxy S will be with us soon

Galaxy S 2

Recently the high end Android focus has been on other manufactures but Samsung are back with the I9000 Galaxy S which we hope to have our hands on in the next week or so thanks to our friends at Clove who will selling the device.

The I9000 Galaxy S is Samsung’s flagship Android device. The Galaxy S not only runs version 2.1of Android , but packs a feature set sure to rival that of any other Smartphone.

So what sets this handset apart from other Android devices on the market? First of all there’s the 4″ SUPER-AMOLED, touch-screen display. This new Super AMOLED technology developed by Samsung not only produces an amazing picture, it also saves on battery life, making the I9000 Galaxy S ideal for media playback and in-car satellite navigation.

x10 2.1 coming in Autumn?

rogersmary-twitter-300x113Canadian network Rogers expects to see the Song Ericsson x10 being updated by Fall. That’s on heck of a long wait for those who have shelled out some big numbers to get the phone. I guess for those taking out a contract on Roger’s now that’ll only be a quarter, or perhaps a sixth of the way into their arrangement.
I’m guessing Android 2.3 will be arriving around about then or at least details of what to expect will be concrete but Sony Ericsson really should have gotten their finger out on this.

Bunch of Android phones benchmarked

The Droid, Incredible, Evo 4G and Nexus One go head to head. Should be interesting to see however the Nexus One has the unfair advantage of Android 2.2. Hopefully we will be able to see this update once 2.2 starts to roll out to the other devices here as the results are terribly surprising.

Adapt Mobile Micro Bluetooth Keyboard video

Adapt-angled A few weeks ago I looked at the Freedom Pro Bluetooth keyboard which I think was a great solution for anyone wanting to add a full-size QWERTY keyboard to virtually any mobile device, including the Apple iPad. However, if you want something a little more compact and portable the Micro Bluetooth Keyboard from Adapt Mobile might prove to be a bit more pocketable.

The ADK-100 Micro Bluetooth Keyboard is pretty small, roughly the same footprint as the iPhone for example and weighs just 40 grams. It does however offer 5 rows of pretty decently sized keys. It seems to be a good trade-off being small enough to hold on your hands for two-thumb typing but also large enough to place on the desk to touch-type.

The Micro Bluetooth Keyboard is compatible with most Bluetooth devices from the iPad and iPhone to Windows Mobile and Android. It’ll even with with Playstation3 and PC’s so offers a great deal of versatility.

Check out the video below for a quick unbox and demo of the keyboard in action.
