What is Zigbee?

The radio transceiver is used to send and receive data over the air, while the antenna is used to transmit and receive radio signals.

Zigbee devices can operate in a variety of frequency bands, depending on the region and application. In the US, for example, Zigbee devices typically operate in the 2.4 GHz frequency band, while in Europe and other regions, they may operate in the 868 MHz or 915 MHz bands.

One of the main competitors to Zigbee is the Z-Wave protocol, which is also designed for low-power, low-data-rate wireless communication. While both protocols have similar goals, there are some key differences between them. For example, Z-Wave uses a different frequency band (typically 900 MHz), and devices are typically more expensive than Zigbee devices.

Overall, Zigbee is a versatile and flexible wireless communication protocol that is well-suited to a range of applications and use cases.
