Sony Ericsson Vivaz & Vivaz Pro video
If you’ve been following things you’ll know that Sony Ericsson held their press conference just before the start of MWC on Sunday and announced the Vivaz and Vivaz Pro. While we’d seen and heard about the Vivaz before the Pro version, with its sliding QWERTY keyboard came as something of a surprise to many.
Both of the Vivaz products look really nice in the flesh, one thing that truly amazed me about the Vivaz is just how light it feels. When someone hands it to you it really is a surprise, the first time I played it it today I wondered if I had been handed a dummy model until I turned it on. They also feel nice to hold. I know much was made of the ‘human curve’ in the presentation on Sunday and I didn’t really buy in to this human element of design thing but it’s true. Pick one up to see what I mean!
So this evening I managed to arrange a meeting with a couple of nice people from Sony Ericsson that both agreed to be filmed talking briefly about the Vivaz and the Vivaz pro.
Find the demo video and some nice images of the devices after the break.
Sony Ericsson VivazT pro – Combining QWERTY keyboard and touch screen for optimal messaging
· Sony Ericsson VivazT pro – sister phone to the flagship Sony Ericsson VivazT, adds QWERTY keyboard to deliver an optimised messaging experience
· ‘Human curvature’ design philosophy delivering beauty inside and out
· Coming to market in the second quarter of 2010
February 15, 2010 – London – Sony Ericsson VivazT pro, adds a QWERTY keyboard to the touch screen offering, delivering a user experience optimised for messaging and entertainment. The full QWERTY keyboard allows consumers to communicate quickly and efficiently via email, SMS or social networking updates.
Just like flagship phone Sony Ericsson VivazT, announced in January, Sony Ericsson VivazT pro allows consumers to produce and broadcast their best experiences in HD video. The open platform also allows users to personalise their entertainment experience by downloading great applications through PlayNowT and the Symbian Developer Community.
“Having announced Sony Ericsson VivazT in January we are now adding a sister phone that includes a QWERTY keyboard along with the touch screen for a superior messaging and entertainment experience,“ said Daniel Sandblom Marketing Business Manager, Sony Ericsson. “Sony Ericsson VivazT pro meets the increased consumer demand for QWERTY devices without compromising on any entertainment features.“
Sony Ericsson VivazT pro features the new design philosophy ‘human curvature’, which will become a consistent feature of the Sony Ericsson portfolio going forward. Designed to mirror the shape of the human body, and at the same time delivering a precise and compelling way of interacting with the phone, Sony Ericsson VivazT pro is instantly recognisable.
