Best Buy showcases 3DTVs from four top brands
Customers visiting the store during the opening weekend will also be the first to see all four manufacturers of 3D TV for sale under one roof in the UK.
Samsung, LG, Panasonic and Sony are all currently launching their 3D TV ranges. These new TVs will allow customers to not only watch the HD content they already enjoy in their homes today, but also seamlessly let them watch the latest 3D entertainment. Best Buy is offering members of the public the chance to watch films and TV from all four brands in the 3D experience room in-store. The range will be spearheaded by Samsung’s flagship product, the 40″ UE40C8000, which will be priced at £1,999.99. The package comes complete with a 3D version of Monsters v Aliens so customers can enjoy 3D content straight away.
Best Buy will also be selling the LG 47″ LCD 47LD920 3DTV at £2,499.99 from the store opening and customers will be able to order Panasonic 50″ plasma TX-P50VT20B 3DTV at £2,299.99 for delivery in 10 days and Sony 3D TV offerings for delivery in June.
Best Buy can also announce today that it has partnered with Sky to provide customers in its UK stores with Sky products and services. Best Buy believes that shopping for technology should be as exciting as the technology itself, so the stores will feature interactive demonstrations of Sky products. At Thurrock this will take the form of an exclusive clip from the world’s first live sports 3D TV broadcast, the Premier League clash between Arsenal and Manchester United, so as Wayne Rooney scores yet another goal, you will see every angle as if you were sitting in the stadium from the comfort of your sofa.
Best Buy’s store team, the Blueshirts, will also be on hand to offer demos, explain how customers can access, share and watch their content on their mobile, laptop or TV, as well as suggesting ways to add more value to existing Sky packages.
