Personally I don’t get the point of white phones. They look tacky and cheap in my opinion but for those who like white will be able to get their fix with the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play aka, the playstation phone. The white Xperia Play will be an exclusive to O2 but we don’t as of yet, we don’t have a release date of either coloured model.
Check out Gareth’s demo video of the Xperia Play from CES below as well as some more pictures below…
The so called ‘Playstation Phone’ combines Sony’s portable gaming system with a phone is one of the many tech unicorns that many what to come true. But that unicorn is turning out to be a reality as the people over at Engadget have managed to get an exclusive hands on with the Sony’s Playstation Phone, aka, the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play. They confirmed that the Xperia Play will have a 4″ 854 x 480 LCD screen that is the same screen that is on the X10 and this screen is powered by Bravia engine for better video playback. But we don’t know if it is powered by the Qualcomm MSM8655 CPU but the clocking range goes from 122.88 MHz all the way up to the now expected 1 GHz.
Nokia is the world’s biggest handset manufacturer but is not the most favoured amongst tech journalists and phone enthusiasts. Nokia is trying to change that with the release of the Nokia C7. Announced back in September at Nokia World, the handset runs the brand new Symbian 3 and that is a great improvement on past versions.
But can this new version compete with the likes of Android, iOS, Windows Phone 7, Blackberry and Web OS, or does the C7 not even keep up with its brother, the Nokia N8?
Read on to find out.
Today is a day that will go down in history. The App store has reached 10 Billion downloads! This is more apps downloaded than people on this earth! Congratulations Apple, but what is next? 20 Billion? 50 Billion? 100 Billion? I hope we can get a bit of rest before you smash through those barriers.
The person who downloaded the 10 Billionth app will win a $10,000 iTunes voucher but we still have to wait to find out who it is, maybe it will be you. Personally, if won I would sell the voucher for $9,000 cash and go crazy in the actual Apple store. Probably won’t but who knows…

Motorola has just walked of the stage in CES where they announced their latest products for release. And literally first of the blocks was the Motorola Atrix 4G. The Atrix has supports a Tegra duel-core 1Ghz processor, 1Gb of RAM, a 4-inch qHD screen(960 x 540), Android 2.2 with Motoblur, 16GB on-board storage with support for MicroSD cards upto 32GB, 1930mAh battery, 5MP camera, a front facing camera, fingerprint login, 4G and it can be put in a dock so you can use the phone much like a laptop or desktop. Tempted yet?
The Atrix will be available on AT&T in the states but it is also coming to the UK on Orange. Yay! I can’t wait to get my hands on this handset because of all the awesomesauce mentioned above!
Check out the press release and more images below.
All those people who wanted to get their hands on Gingerbread and the Nexus S will have to wait another couple of days as the Carphone Warehouse has pushed back the release date of the latest Google handset to December 22nd. And on December 22nd, the phone will be only available at “key stores,” so as you would expect online orders are encouraged with the promise of “instant ship delivery.” Pre-orders will probably get their handsets on Wednesday also..
The Carphone Warehouse has also confirmed the price drop of the Nexus S of £120 to £429.99.

Rejoice Vodafone Wildfire users, you are getting some Froyo goodness this morning! The update brings support for USB tethering, possibility of installing applications to SD card (if supported by the application), native support for Activesync Exchange (email, contacts and calendar sync) and security policies, an enhanced Camera application, enhanced Bluetooth support, speed and stability improvements, multiple keyboard languages and WiFi Hotspot tethering. However, the update does not bring live wallpapers or Flash support in the browser because of “Hardware Limitations.” Vodafone’s words, not mine.
It’s not Gingerbread but still a good update for all Wildfire owners on the Vodafone network and if you are go press those update buttons!

The HTC HD7 is the biggest of the brand new Windows Phone 7 phones to hit the market with a monster 4.3" screen. The HD7 is the new and improved version of it’s WInMo 6.5 brother, now made obselte by the HD7. The HD7 is exlusive to O2 and brings specs and features that the HD2 can only dream of – a massive 4.3" SLCD screen, a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 5MP camera with 720p HD video recording and Microsoft’s latest creation, Windows Phone 7.
But can it reign over it’s Android running HTC Desire HD cousin or can it even compete with the rest of the Windows Phone 7 handsets out there? Check out the review below to find out.

And what’s the solution? Nag. An simple app from the iTunes app store for your iPhone and iPod Touch that has one very simple function. To nag you to do something after a certain period of time.
