Dave Ciccone has tested the view ability of the screen in direct sunlight and found the results to be very suprising compared with other Windows Mobile phones where you cannot read the screens at all. Third-party iPhone applications to arrive Monday

image The era of officially sanctioned iPhone applications should kick off on Monday according to Cnet.

That’s the same day Apple CEO Steve Jobs is expected to take the stage at the Moscone Center to unveil the next-generation iPhone at the company’s annual Worldwide Developers’ Conference. A source at a software company that has been working on a native iPhone application tells us the company is getting ready to launch that application on Monday, which could also imply that Apple’s App Store will be up and running that day.

E-TEN Information Systems has kicked off Computex 2008, the world’s second largest computer expo, with the launch of four new Pocket PC Phones and in the process earned itself a prestigious Best Choice of Computex Award. The new handsets and the company’s complete lineup of industry defining Glofiish Pocket PC Phones will be on show at the E-TEN booth between June 3 – 7.

Mobility Today first review ever of the HTC Diamond retail version.

Over the next 2 weeks Mobility Today will be reviewing the HTC Touch Diamond and answering all of your questions you might have on this device. The unit they will be reviewing is a final production European release Diamond and it’s the first time anyone has managed to get hold of a unit that’s a released retail version. 3G iPhone 22% thinner, better battery life

image Wired’s Leander Kahney, arguably the most credible yet of those who’ve weighed in with alleged specs of Apple’s upcoming 3G iPhone, is reporting the handset will be 22 percent thinner than its predecessor, not thicker as some earlier reports had suggested.

O2 Fires Staff After iPhone Discount Scam

image Staff at branches of mobile phone retailer O2 have been sacked after using discounts to buy cheap Apple iPhones and then selling them on via the internet.

About half a dozen employees were dismissed from London stores after being caught scooping up job lots of the sought-after handsets.

More new Xperia X1 Pictures and Design Tweaks

imageAccording to The Sony Ericsson Blog the Xperia X1 has had a third update and will have an ‘Xperia Panel’ key and ‘Xperia’ logo under the screen as well as a second colour called  X1 Steel Silver. Vodafone UK Announces New Pricing for Mobile Broadband USBs from June 1st

image From June 1st Vodafone UK’s Mobile Broadband USB modems will be reduced from £99 to £49 on its 30 day contract price plans. The move is part of Vodafone’s commitment to making mobile broadband more accessible for consumers. The price of the ‘3.6mbps USB Modem’ (on all 12/18/24month contracts) will also be reduced by 50% from June 1.
