Flash10.1Pre-500x281

Back in February, at the GSMA Mobile World Congress, Palm confirmed to join the Open Screen Project, which will bring Adobe Flash Player on the new Palm webOS platform. Paid and free apps reach Palm Pre store

findapps_2009-05-10_215258-280x420

After breaking with the app delivery on Thursdays, and turning Mondays into a happy way to start the week, Palm did not disappoint this Monday. Not only Palm delivered paid apps, but also more free apps into the Catalog. Now, as you can see on the screenshot below, the app counter is at 125 apps, let the fun begin!

Today, Monday October 5th 2009, is a day that many will remember, it has been a long road, but the App Catalog starts to flourish. It began with the popular Air Hockey game by Acceleroto, around 4 PM EST, than, a few minutes later; Who wants to be a Millionaire by Capcom Interactive, Inc. These two first paid apps paved the road for what many will become to appreciate as a modest – for now – but great app store.

Android Skytone Alphe 680 netbook live pictures surface

skytone-alpha-680

Still remember the Skytone Alpha 680 Android netbook? Yeah, it’s been a while since we last talked about it, but luckily, we’ve now got snapshots of it live and in the flesh. That’s the good part. Unfortunately, while this Android-powered 7-inch touchscreen equipped netbook’s hardware looks good to go, it also says in the report that it’s still “not really stable” which casts aside any hope that it’ll be available in the market anytime soon. On the bright side, however, at least we’ve now got a handful of pictures of the Skytone Alpha 680 Android netbook to keep us entertained for the time being. So, how about it guys? Like what you see so far?

htc-hd2-t-mobile-europe Just yesterday we broke the news that the power-house known as the HTC HD2 was about to land on T-Mobile. Not only that, but the Touch2 is coming too. Great news all round.
Today we’ve had another anonymous tip, this time with a picture attached showing it on the T-Mobile systems under the name "HTC Touch HD2". You know the deal by now – 1Ghz CPU, 5 megapixel camera and all the goodies you could ever want. This looks set to be one of the most powerful and sexiest Windows Mobile phones ever.

T-Mobile UK Launches the Huawei Pulse

T-Mobile-Huawei-Pulse

Are you ready for a new Android in your life? Well if you happen to live in the UK then you will be able to pick up Huawei’s Pulse which is now available from T-Mobile UK.
The Pulse is Huawei’s first Android phone but it certainly looks pretty interesting. The phone will offer you a 3.5-inch touchscreen display, HSPA connectivity, GPS, WiFi and, of course, Android running in the background. As long as you’re willing to get a new T-Mobile contract the phone will be available free of charge. However, if you’re not looking forward to a new contract then the Pulse will cost you around $280 with a pay-as-you-go plan.
Considering that Microsoft is just about to launch Windows Mobile 6.5 to the masses, what are you more likely to get? A brand new Android phone or a Windows Phone? And we have certainly shown you lots of handsets lately running different OS so I bet the decision is not as easy as it would seem!

Samsung i7500 Galaxy gets another firmware update

samsung_galaxy_switchers_small Samsung has made available another firmware update for its first Android-powered device – i7500 Galaxy. Although it keeps Android 1.5 Cupcake, firmware version I7500XXII5_VIAII5 will apparently make the phone snappier, more stable, while at the same time ensure the battery lasts longer. In addition, the built-in compass has been improved to better sing along such apps as Google (NSDQ: GOOG) Maps, Sky Maps and Wikitude; and users can now send bitmap MMS. Finally, the screen-unlock has been improved and now the unlock time is just 0.5 seconds.

To update your Galaxy, grab the Samsung’s PC Studio software and follow the steps provided on the screen. Once an update is applied, the Korean giant suggests factory reset…
