Users of Tweetie 1.x don’t get free upgrade to Tweetie 2, but instead must buy it again – it seems a bit unfair but obviously author of the Tweetie decided to hit the jackpot second time instead of supporting old customers…
Here is how Tweetie 2 looks like:
I’ll be honest with you, this makes me want to buy one. It fully restores the epic feel for an ad that has been lost over the years as advertisers distract from the product and invoke a concept. Here was see the HTC HD2 doing things. Coupled with a great soundtrack and grand word usage it’s advertising at it’s best and gives the flagging Windows Mobile factor a lick of much need paint. Have a look at the video after the break.
WMExperts takes a look at the Xperia X2. The X1 was a nice device and impressed me quite a bit, so I’d saw this second will be something to marvel at. The panel interface looks a bit hot or miss at the moment and there seems to be a few usage problems. I don’t know that the Sim City style interface is anything more than a gimmick but as soon as it is available we’ll get it in for a full evaluation.
To say we were unimpressed with the first leaked shots to come out of Microsofts “Project Pink” would be a bit of an understatement. This was Microsoft’s first in-house foray into the mobile hardware space, and we’d been hearing tales of it for years; yet in the end, what we were seeing was bad enough that we equated the two leaked devices to “a midgie Pre and a Touch Pro crossed with a jellybean”.
And now, it all begins to make sense. We were recently contacted by a source with a seemingly exhaustive knowledge of Microsoft’s Project Pink, and what they’ve shared with us doesn’t sound good. If what they’ve shared is true, it seems that the project as a whole began — and will likely end — in vain.
Apple’s just posted up iPhone OS 3.1.2, which purports to fix some of iPhone OS 3.1’s Greatest Bug Hits, including: Don’t Wake (From Sleep), Lost Network Access, and everyone’s all-time favorite, Video Stream Crash Dance. We’re updating now, let us know how it goes for you in comments — and there’s an iPod touch update too, we’re sure it’s just as fun.

Here is a shot I noticed over at Prethinking of the Palm Pre’s O2 packaging. Looks fairly standard as far as pacakging goes for a Palm device. I remember when the Palm Treo Pro appeared in this guise there was a bit of buzz about how well thought out the packaging was. Nice to see it continue.
Slashgear have posted one of the first reviews of Palm Pre on O2. There’s not a great deal of new reading if you have read any of the Sprint Pre reviews but for those who are interested, read on for a great review by Chris Davies from Slashgear.
For European consumers, the Palm Pre has been a long time coming. Announced – in CDMA form – back in January 2009, with Palm coyly dancing around the matter of a GSM version until its Sprint launch took place in June, the smartphone has even gained a sibling (in the shape of the Palm Pixi) before those across the Atlantic have had a chance to play with the original. That’s all finally changing this month, with carrier O2 exclusively offering the Pre in the UK and Ireland from October 16th and Germany from October 13th. Has time dulled the Pre’s appeal? SlashGear have been testing out the GSM Palm Pre; check out our full review after the cut.

If you haven’t heard that it is here already I wouldn’t say you were living under a rock, it was very low key but here is old Steve Ballmer introducing it to you. Some might get excited, some won’t (many won’t) but it should be interesting to get our paws on 6.5.
