Palm Pre’s webOS has been update to version 1.2.1. This restore the severed link with Apple’s iTunes. I’m sure this will put a smile on the face of many, but for how long? Palm Pre is almost upon us here in the UK and it will be interesting to see if there will be a connection available by the time it hits the stores. Read on for the full updated specs:
Still remember the Skytone Alpha 680 Android netbook? Yeah, it’s been a while since we last talked about it, but luckily, we’ve now got snapshots of it live and in the flesh. That’s the good part. Unfortunately, while this Android-powered 7-inch touchscreen equipped netbook’s hardware looks good to go, it also says in the report that it’s still “not really stable” which casts aside any hope that it’ll be available in the market anytime soon. On the bright side, however, at least we’ve now got a handful of pictures of the Skytone Alpha 680 Android netbook to keep us entertained for the time being. So, how about it guys? Like what you see so far?
Just yesterday we broke the news that the power-house known as the HTC HD2 was about to land on T-Mobile. Not only that, but the Touch2 is coming too. Great news all round. Today we’ve had another anonymous tip, this time with a picture attached showing it on the T-Mobile systems under the name "HTC Touch HD2". You know the deal by now – 1Ghz CPU, 5 megapixel camera and all the goodies you could ever want. This looks set to be one of the most powerful and sexiest Windows Mobile phones ever.
Acer seem to be releasing quite a lot of handsets recently and this Acer Tempo F900 is one of the latest handsets to be released in the Tempo range.
The Acer Tempo F900 HD
The F900, still showing fairly obvious Eten design characteristics, appears to be Acer’s answer to the popular HTC Touch HD, having virtually the same screen and a similar footprint. Whether or not the F900 can hold its own against the Touch HD we’ll find out over the next few weeks as we test it for the full review. One thing is certain though, the F900 is a lot cheaper than the Touch HD at under £190 from eXpansys it does, on the face of it, seem like good value for money.
We’ll have the full review for you within the next few weeks. As always if there is anything specific that you would like to know then please let us know via the forum. For now have a look at the unboxing video below for a brief overview of the Aver F900.
