WordPress have announced a native iPhone application for posting from the iPhone directly to your WordPress blog complete with pcitures too. What is even more interesting is that it will be available soon for free in the App Store. This is great news for WordPress bloggers. Video of it in action after the break.
The crazy guys at iFixit went to amazing lengths to be one of the first to get hold of the iPhone 3G by flying out to New Zealand, now most people would take care of their new iPhone but not these guys, the moment they got it in hand they set about striping it down to see what its made up of. You can see for yourself after the break.
Msmobiles have posted an interesting article giving 12 reasons to buy a Windows Mobile Phone instead of the iPhone 3G, as we seem to be inundated with iPhone 3G news we though it would be a good idea to redress the balance and share the 12 reasons they have come up with after the break.
Vodafone UK are now offering the HTC Touch Diamond to business customers, this seems strange when you consider Orange are only offering their branded version to personal users and the phone is definitely being sold as a consumer phone and the HTC Touch Pro as the business phone. Oh well that is the strange world of network operators for you. Full details after the break.
After yesterdays dismal O2 performance its now time to give The Carphone Warehouse a big thank you. I decided to brave the weather, sleep deprivation and crowds and ventured out early this morning to try and nab an iPhone 3G. My first stop was the O2 store in Team Valley Gateshead only to be met with a huge queue of at least 50 people and if rumours are to be believed, stock of only a few dozen iPhones.
Apple’s new iPhone 3G goes on sale today and is available from Carphone Warehouse and O2 stores throughout the UK.
I’ve already seen long queues at local shops, both stretching about 100 yards from the door. I’m wondering if O2 and CPW have enough stock to satisfy eveyone one in the queue?!
So the question for today is would you every queue for a new gadget?
If you’ve picked up your new iPhone then drop us a line!

Here she is: the iPhone 3G, captured on video. Engadget have gone through a number of the new features on the device and in the 2.0 software release, but apologies in advance if you’re looking for side by side speed tests (there are some coverage issues where we’re at). Video of the unboxing, new feature walkthrough, and GPS use (while on a train) after the break.
There has been a bit of speculation as to what’s in the new Sidekick, as per usual no one can tell. However, Engadget Mobile has manage to grab a picture of it. I like the Sidekick, however, like the iPhone and Treo it’s always been one step behind the most recent features. I hope this time around the Gecco/Gekko/2008 will pack in all in an become a phone that most will desire.
Pocketnow finally do the review of the Toshiba Portege G910. This was a phone I was very interested as I appreciated the form factor a great deal. Sadly the phone seems to have its problems and merely receives a medocre review.
Just got off the phone to O2 customer service who couldn’t find my order, then they found it, then they told me the iPhone was out of stock then they told me I would definitely be receiving it tomorrow. I put the phone down content as much as possible that I would be receiving the phone tomorrow only to receive a SMS message 5 minutes later telling me I would be receiving the iPhone before the 18th July as they were out of stock. My order was placed at 8.03am on Monday. O2 state that the iPhones were sold on a first come first served basis, if this is true how come people ordering hours after me now have confirmation that they will receive their iPhone tomorrow. This whole thing is a disgrace and O2 should be ashamed of the way this whole saga has been handled, Apple should reconsider this exclusive agreement as it is clear O2 are not capable of handling it properly.
