TVGuide.co.uk now available as iPhone app!

Our fav telly guide for British TV is now available also as iPhone app. While this app has some nice features, it is a little bit dissapointing and not as good as using the website on the desktop browser.

Here is the main screen of this application:

.. and here is a detail view for some specific channel (note: description is truncated! this sucks!):

One can select which type of TV channels you would like to watch (if you are cheap skate you use free Freeview or Freesat; if you are middle class then you should have at least Sky):

Since some channels are available in local variants, it is good to have possibility to pick them (if you are on Freeview then you have only local one, but satellite based systems offer all other local variants too):

Sky (British dominant pay-TV platform) is here too:

… and here is how TVGuide.co.uk looks like as a website:

Conclusion: while this app has some usability problems – some long descriptions are truncated, searching is not possible, lack of overview across all channels for given time of day – it still might be useful. Nice feature is ability to check on TV shows also off-line – for example in the tube..

Get it here (FREE).
