Clove Technology, www.clove.co.uk have today unveiled a new website.

The online mobile technology specialist has replaced the previous site with new and very bold design.

The site retains most of the features of the last site, but has undergone a lot of graphic changes and the underlying engine that powers the retailers page has been improved to enable many more advanced features to be constructed and unveiled over the coming months.

New headline features of the website include a vastly improved on site search engine, a product comparison tool, new checkout process, enhanced customer account features, social network integration and a product rating system.

Chris Love, Managing Director of Clove commented, “We have today unveiled a new website that is the result of lots of hard work over the last few months. We are excited about the new site and the possibilities that it brings us and our customers. The website brings new features to users, but also brings a whole host of advancements in the background which enables us to further roll out some updates over the coming months, to further enhance the functionality of the website.”

The revised design of www.clove.co.uk ties in with the brand refresh that was announced today and will be apparent through all future communications and publications and forms part of Clove’s intention to provide a more consistent and stronger marketing message.

There are two new logo’s, one with ‘Technology’ and one with the company URL, both of which will also be inversed and used on occasions where the standard are not so suited, i.e. black backgrounds.

The logos have more dimension than the previous, a white edging to the blue Clove text connects the letters of Clove together and the primary logo incorporates the retailers website address, www.clove.co.uk. Still retained is the well recognised hand that forms the ‘o’ of Clove.
In addition, Clove’s tagline has too been tweaked to ‘Mobile technology specialists since 1992’ to further highlight their experience and specialisation.
The brand refresh will be apparent through all future communications and publications and comes at the same time as launching a new website for customers and forms part of Clove’s intention to provide a more consistent and stronger marketing    message.
Having been trading for so long Clove has become well known in the industry and work closely with the major smartphone manufacturers.

Clove Technology has also today confirmed that it will be the exclusive sponsor to the Smartphone Essentials 2010 awards. Smartphone Essentials is the leading magazine that is issued monthly by Imagine Publishing, focused at providing the most comprehensive reviews, news and content for the smartphone user.
The fourth annual event is a celebration of the best of the mobile industry and is the only one of its kind dedicated to smartphones.

Managing Director of Clove Technology, Chris Love said, “We are very pleased to be the exclusive sponsor to the Smartphone Essentials 2010 Awards. The magazine has been established for a considerable period of time and remains amongst the best out there in terms of product information, news and reviews. Having been involved in mobile technology well before smartphones became as popular as they are today, we felt that the last twelve months have been somewhat of a milestone in technical advancements and product offering and saw it as appropriate to sponsor the event, which falls in line with a re-launch of the www.clove.co.uk website and a refreshed brand image.”

Smartphone Essential Editor Andy Betts commented, “The Smartphone Essentials Awards 2010 will give us the chance to look back over what has been a spectacular year for smartphones. With so many amazing devices having been launched, it is sure to be a closely fought contest.”
