Sky+ Remote Record application updated

We are big fans of Sky Satellite TV here at Mobile Tech Addicts and the one thing lacking is a decent application to view upcoming TV but more importantly be able to set your box to record it while you were out and about.

Sky did release a rather awful application that was slow and unreliable but this refresh looks fantastic and is fast and now includes all the missing HD content too.

You now have lots of icons where the TV channels have been broken down into sections.

You can drill down and see a little synopsis of the program then also select record and if you have your phone registered with Sky Remote Record it will send the signal to the box and put it in your record planner. You can also view well ahead and search for programs or keywords, great if you missed a program and need to see when it is on again.

The watch live button is linked to the Sky Mobile TV App unfortunately all this does is take you to the iTunes Store where you can download it, it does not open it and start the stream if you already have it.

There are a few extra features like upgrade your package (No downgrade option) and a Favourite tab where you can add you fave stations for quick access.
