That’s a big ol’ post title for what is actually a really small and neat networkable HD media player.

When you hear the name LaCie you may not immediately think of media player products, LaCie are perhaps more commonly associated with storage media and external drives. However the LaCinema Mini HD Connect is just one of a range of products from LaCie to fall in to the Media Player category.

I’ve been looking for a product like this for a while. I have a lot of films and TV shows recorded on my Mac and wanted a way to watch them on my large screen TV. I’ve considered Apple TV but that’s quite an expensive solution. The LaCinema Mini HD Connect is about ah third of the cost of the Apple product but can it perform?
