Mobile Tech Addicts is growing at an unbelievable rate since we started back in June this year, having spent some time analysing the geography of our readership during the holidays we find we have a great following from overseas as well as from the UK, particularly the USA. As we are UK based we probably don’t cover enough devices and news from overseas and we want to correct that. If you have a passion for all things mobile and would like to help us out and get involved in a site that’s going places please get in touch, we want someone that can post up to date news and share their views on the mobile world. In return we can offer a platform for you to have your thoughts heard and hopefully expand to get devices for you to review. Drop us a line if your interested at [email protected]
The Palm Treo Pro which we have already reviewed is now available direct from O2 on contract starting from free, its only in the business shop for now. The Palm Treo Pro was one of the best Windows Mobile devices of 2008 in our opinion and if your after a front facing qwerty device then this one is worth checking out. Available now from O2 here.
Alli over at Just Another Geek Site has got her hands on a beta version of an application for Windows Mobile that was previously very popular on the Palm OS platform. LauncherX for Windows Mobile is currently in beta, and while it’s definitely not ready for prime time, it’s already a great improvement over what you find on Windows Mobile according to Alli, you can read the about the software with screenshots over at Just Another Geek Site.
We have reviewed a few GloFiish phones on our site over the past year and the latest one to come from the Eten camp is it’s Dual Sim DX900
Eten Glofiish DX300
Powered by Windows Mobile 6.1 the Glofiish DX900 is "probably" the first Windows based device with a brand name to be released.
Eten Glofiish DX900 Specifications:
- 2 SIM card slots – both working at the same time
- VGA display (640×480 pixels)
- GPS
- Samsung S3C 6400 processor running at 533 MHz
- 3G
- microSDHC slot
- G-sensor (tilt sensor aka accelerometer)
- 3 megapixel camera with autofocus
- HSDPA
Price wise you can expect to pay around £500 for this phone ($760 or 531 euro).
I’m not overly sure if Eten will send this one to use but if they do I for one would like to review it as I have to use 2 phone’s daily and getting rid of one would be a godsend.
